Indeed. I'd play that game - sounds bloody awesome.
Just a hypothetical question: If one were to give up gaming forever, would Metal Gear Solid 3 be a good way to go out with a bang?
Not in my book I hate the Metal Gear games.
Best of the series, IMO. I'd say it's an alright game to call it quits.
It's got a great ending so why not?
Agreed.
MGS4 was an awesome game, but it still wasn't on the level of MGS3. Any amazing game like that would be a good one to call it quits on.
I just finished God of War 3...great game but not really anything that I hadn't seen before from the series on the PS2....and it seemed actually a bit shorter than the PS2 games as well. Took me 11 hours and 28 minutes to beat it. I give it an 8.7 rating.
Now to figure out what to play next....
It has the greatest ending in the history of videogames so yeah why not.
GoW2 is better but I still loved it. GoW3 has the best combat of the series, play it on the harder modes and it really starts to shine.
RE ORC
How do you feel about the old style art with the new tech. I find it slightly jarring. They veer towards realism yet hold back with the more rigid toony RE style.
There are tons more pics in the link up top.

I personally love it...I think Capcom has made a mistake moving away from that trademark RE art style, especially in RE5. You don't see MS abandoning Halo's unique style, or Nintendo Zelda's...there's a reason people are drawn to franchises and their style is a big part of that. Take it away and they lose their identity.
It really is sad that Nintendo's handheld has better looking games than their console. Used to be the other way around...and it should be. I'll be playing Zelda soon, and I'm sure it looks awesome in motion. But RE looks better in still pics. Better than any game the Wii has seen all year.
I think Halo's art is easy to do, in so much that is can't be reinterpreted. It's all bright, day glow power suits. Zelda's art changes from game to game. You could say that in terms of the 3D home console zeldas there have been 3 styles, classical, super deformed and monet.
This picture kinda weirds me out.
It actually looks like a western 3rd party making a RE game, which is exactly what it is.
I like that last screen. Level of detail in the woman's face looks awesome. I assume it's a massive bullshot?
Been playing nothing except for an odd match of Halo Anniv. multiplayer here and there. Magnum is awesome.
Operation Racoon City is a PS3/360 game so it's indicative of how the game will end up looking.
The RE Revelations are bullshotty just because the resolution is high and jaggies removed. Although in 2D mode it could look like that if other 3DS games are any indication. For some reason the AA is much better in 2D vs 3D mode. But the games look better in 3D than in 2D with great AA, so it doesn't really matter anyway.
The reason AA is better in 2D mode is because the 3DS has double the resolution in 2D mode.
The new trailer of ORC is awesome, nice to see the main characters return.
If RE6 is handled by that random crappy western dev I will have a shit storm.
