The new previews say the water temple is easier, has TRON style colour lines to show you where you are going and how to get back to the water level changers. Also the iron boots are toggled easily on and off via the touch screen.
I just did this, took a while to extract the files and dump them in one folder.
Waiting for the file to update on the 3DS as a I type with bated breath. Some nut has uploaded pics of all the best Wii and cube games in 3D to view on 3DS.
Don't know how he got 3D pics of 2D games like Muramasa up. Okay this is taking forever for the 3DS to update the files, it's only 200mb, what the hell is going on? My battery will run out before this is done.
EDIT:
Everyone with a 3DS has to check these out now. NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW
I hate to say it, particularly because one enthusiast on here has this version only, but I still feel it needs to be said:
Mortal Kombat on 360 looks 100% better than the PS3 version!
The colors are just sooo much richer and the graphics brighter overall than the PS3 version.
PS3 DOES get Kratos, yes! PS3 also gets 3D... which for some reason, I believe, leads to the more muted color scheme --AND-- YES, the game does control so much better with the Dual Shock...
I just wish the PS3 version LOOKED more like the 360 one!

Meh. I'll pass. You guys who adore Twilight Princess over all other Zelda games really get my goat.
It definitely had great dungeons, really cool bosses, interesting items, a nice atmosphere, and it was lengthy! But...
1.The Wind Waker parts of the art style (namely, the short legs, especially those of bokoblins) looked too odd.
2. The difficulty was too low across the board.
3. Hyrule Field was huge, but barren as hell (it's more fun traversing Hyrule Field in OoT and Termina Field in Majora's Mask).
4. The animal interaction wasn't used enough.
5. The slingshot became 100% useless once you got the bow.
6. There wasn't enough interaction with children. That could have been a huge part of the story.
7. To my knowledge, there was no way to change day to night and night to day, which made looking for those 100 damn Poe souls the most frustrating part of the game. (I logged at least over 60 hours of play time in my primary save file by the time I sold the game, and I still hadn't found one or two Poe souls. At that point, I just gave up. The game world is huge and it would have taken forever, given how long you have to wait for nightfall.)
8. Instrument >>>>>>>>>>>> wolf howling.
9. Since the enemies were so easy to beat, the extra combat techniques were more for show than anything.
Did I love the game? Yes. Did it innovate and improve on many things in the OoT formula? Yes. But it fell short in so many areas it could easily have excelled in. Don't get me wrong -- it is an amazing game. It's just that it disappointed me.
I sold my Wii a while ago. Got the GameCube version of Twilight Princess last fall or so. However... I get a disc read error during the intro, or at least before I can start the game. It's weird. I can't tell if it's the disc or my GameCube. I've also had problems with Rebel Strike. Speculations? I'm thinkin' I'll just need to get another Wii one of these days. I'll need to get Brawl, Metroid Prime 3, and both Super Mario Galaxys (I had all of those except SMG2 before I sold it). I retain Metal Slug Anthology, Zack & Wiki, and RE4 (only the last of which I care much about).
All Zelda's pale in comparison to the Phantom Hourglass anyway.
You guys that adore Okami over all actual decent games really get my goat (no smilies for you rodent)
1) the long boring intro is way too long
2) story can be described as a total and utter rape of Japanese Shinto mythology
3) annoying as hell characters
4) piss poor dungeons that would insult the intelligence of a 3 year old kid with a down syndrome
5) Puzzles, what are they?
6) Pacing what is that? Game should have ended after the first Orochi battle.
7) In Zelda new moves are to show off, well in Okami you do not even get that. Battles are boring and annoying
9) Digging mini-game is boring and used way too much
Don't get me wrong it is not a bad game, it is just not a great game. The only thing that it has going for it are the field design and graphics. Let's be honest, you have graphic whores, but those art style whores are way worse. Okami is an inferior Zelda clone and not a very original one at that. You want to play a Zelda game that is inventive and clever? Go play Majora's Mask. /Rant
lawl
I wasn't comparing it to Okami at all. For a Zelda game, it didn't meet my expectations. The entire series is the context, not non-Zelda games.
And you can keep your goat.
I'll bite on your Okami criticism, though.
1. Agreed.
2. Those who don't know Shinto mythology don't care.
3. Issun's the worst, by far. Everyone else isn't that bad.
4. They aren't easier than the rest of the game, on average, so it doesn't really matter to me. Unless we compare Okami to Zelda games, there's no reason to be disappointed with the "dungeons". While both are action/adventure games more alike than different, I don't feel the need to compare them.
5. Again, too much unnecessary comparison to Zelda.
6. Complete agreement on the pacing. It's horrible. But if it were to end with the first Orochi battle, the game would need to be lengthened.
7. There are plenty of bonus moves for purchase. Try pissing and shitting on enemies to get demon fangs.
Dodging and double jumping can eventually damage enemies. You get two weapons, each of which can be one of three distinct kinds, and each kind has at least two distinct flavors. Battles are fast and furious (especially the optional demon gate... or whatever they're called... ones), and you need to experiment with each enemy type to determine what finishing move will get you demon fangs.
8. I enjoy the fishing. There are tons of different things to catch. If you want to compare it to Zelda (which is, again, unnecessary from my POV), I find it to be more engaging and challenging than fishing in OoT and TP.
9. Boring? Not for me. Used too much? Possibly, though if I remember correctly, not all of them are required. I'll tell you what's really annoying, though: Trying to defeat the final Blockhead. I still haven't done it.
Playing Okami, for me, is like playing an epic, beautiful, folklore-drenched, anime. That's the kind of experience I'm going for when I play it. I play Zelda for entirely different reasons.
Meh. Fuck Zelda, Fuck Okami, and fuck you all!
You fell for it
Infamous was second only to SMG2 in terms of games I played last year. To put that in context I beat Uncharted 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Yakuza 3, Crackdown... you get the point. I think Infamous is a TREMENDOUS game. Anyway:
" it's required reading if you plan to play its sequel next month. You can do that super cheaply through Best Buy, which has Infamous on sale for $9.99!"
Am I the only one who, upon hearing that Cammy will be in Street Fighter X Tekken thinks of:
Zelda is popular because it was a one-of-a-kind gameplay at the time right? And then Nostaligia X10?
I liked Phantom Hourglass enough.
Dark Souls Japan Box Art:
Not enough apostrophes.
Yeah.... in this case just you.
I think that kind of sells it a little short. It's not just a case of "... at the time" and then letting nostalgia carry it. The gameplay holds up tremendously well. Proof of this is the fact that the three games in the franchise which were released this generation (Twilight Princess, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks) are, for my money, among the greatest games of all time.
Still unique and one of a kind.
