OMG
The video description clearly states it's the first level (as I said it myself above the embed), unlike some haters would have you believe (btw a tutorial mission is like COD4's first, this isn't one), but still, wow huh? The rest of the game is similar, except with more meat walls between you and the next point it wants you to reach by following a dude, a cart on rails, or whatever else (as if there are any other points to go to anyway, lol) so you will have to do more, but this perfectly demonstrates COD game design. And yes, this is a whole 15 minutes of an already super short 6 hour campaign, with plenty more a-few-minutes-long segments of similar or lesser gameplay value (try not to do what it tells you during the choppper lift off, go on, try it) sprinkled all over the rest of the game. Amazing.

Question: do you guys think that because 3DS has been delayed to spring 2011, Wii 2 will not hit next year?
I thought maybe it would launch late december, but now I think they might leave it for spring 2012 or later.
though nintendo is no stranger to stealth launches, i don't think it will be 2012 either.

I mentioned this in another post, but I think Nintendo can still squeeze a full year out of the Wii and hold off on the Wii 2 until 2012. They need to treat it like the SNES during it's final year. Give it a DKC sequel, a good Yoshi game, and 4 or 5 other first party games and they'll be good. They've still got Last Story and Skyward Sword on the horizon so that's a really good start. And. . . the Vitality Sensor!!!!!!! That alone is deserving of a full year of support.
Just watched the video review Aspro. You are officially my hero for today.
The Game Developer 50.
Design:
Hidetaka Miyazaki
From Software
Is Japanese game development in a bit of a slump lately? Perhaps not if you look at games such as From Software's Demon's Souls. Directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, Demon's Souls is big, ambitious, thoughtfully designed, and crafted to perfection.
Much has been written regarding the game's creative online implementation and notorious difficulty, but designers should take note of the way that Demon's Souls allows serious players to create uniquely personal experiences within the game. As one travels deeper into Demon's Souls, it becomes apparent that players are actually being tested against themselves, eliciting a level of mental concentration that may be closer to mountain climbing than game playing.

Hmm, hardware sales for the last week in Japan, and the Wii is back on top (well, the PSP is on top, yikes, but that's a handheld) selling almost twice as much as the PS3, yet there's no apparent reason for it? No software jumped much, no new release happened, the PS3 sales didn't decrease and just stayed to the same levels as before (although it was rather low levels anyway, the Wii was doing half that recently)... Weird...

i feel that nintendo is putting to much into the 3ds and they even have 40 games listed that they all want out in a year, i believe they wont release the next console intel 2012 because they don't want ether one to leach off the other
maybe the red mario anniversary edition?

This is Shenmue city.
if shenmue city ever comes out west i'll have to play it, it looks umm like it can be fun
But it didn't jump on the release weeks. The actual game sold good but the Wii stayed at the same levels throughout. Unless the bundle wasn't released then and is now. But why didn't the game sales jump then?
I think the Shenmue City shots are of the mobile version, the PC (web?) is supposed to be a bit different...
