The demo sold me on the game and I'm really looking forward to it now. My only concern is that I hope there's a lot of variety and that it's not repetitive. But from what I played so far, it's Gears of War on steroids! And the writing is classic cheesy-Mikami!

Some of the stages shown in the videos were re-creations of 8-bit stages. Then, you saw a stage where Mega Man was spelled out in blocks.
Various old-school weapons were being used throughout.
This is absolutely NOT going to be Mega Man Powered Up for consoles.
This is going to be a game full of Capcom designed stages where you earn level creation pieces (like the moving floors), various Mega Man skins, classic enemies and Bosses. Where you can then apply those elements to user-created stages to post online...

I know that every gaming outlet went crazy for it -- did they do broader marketing in the US - like on TV etc...
I won't be getting it until I beat GTA4.

It looks interesting. I like the premise of playing as a detective.
Rockstar hit it pretty big with Red Dead Redemption, but slowed down a bit with Mafia 2. LA Noire looks like it's taking forever and last time I heard, the budget on this is getting more insane every week it's unfinished.
If this game flops commercially and critically, Take 2 is going to take a major hit. It looks good but pretty ambitious and risky.
