But damn is this game pretty hard. Even a cute little bird is beating the crap out of me!

Yeah. When the developers said this will be like the good old days of JRPGs, they weren't kidding!
I don't know. All I know is that GAF was saying how Ignition screwed this up.
The game is pretty good though. Like a long lost little brother to the Tales series.

I guess they did this to save time on development. It does take away from the experience a bit though.

Thanks! Much appreciated.
Voice acting and bad translation aside, the game feels like a fun throwback to the JRPGs I used to enjoy during the PS1 era. Nothing new but it feels really fresh. It doesn't really feel like I'm playing a wannabe Tales game either even though that's what it is. I think it was made by some of the guys who did Symphonia. Also, the composer who did Chrono scored this game, so the music is great of course!
Until Xenoblade and Last Story comes out, I think Arc Rise is the best JRPG on the Wii. It's just a joy to play. Nostalgia, very fun battle system that's fast-paced and not sluggish, really no loading time at all, and good graphics. The character models are very good as well.
I was sitting on the fence with this one at first, but I'm glad I bought it.

The optimist proclaims we live in the best of all possible worlds
while the pessimist fears this is true.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One good thing came out of the Ignition thing...I think the game released for cheaper because of all the controversy in the bad localization.
Also, the game wasn't $39.99, it was actually sold for $34.95 at Gamestop. Whether that was a glitch in the system or not is unknown, but it will definitely help sales.
If it was XSeed or someone else, it definitely would've been $50.
But the voice acting is pretty bad. Sometimes I wonder if Ignition employees did the voices, seriously, that bad.
Very glad to hear she's back home.
I'm a far more accomplished writer than those dudes.
So it's Sunday in North America. That means, what have you been playing?
Besides my two hand-held RPGs this week I:
+ Beat Infamous.
+ Beat Reservoir Dogs on PS2. Good game, more of a hostage management game than a shooter. Good writing, they follow up on all the happenings from the movie that were not seen on screen. Very well done. Some driving levels as well.
- Tried Sly Cooper. They have the X-axis of the camera fixed inverted. So I can't play it. FUCK YOU SUCKER PUNCH.
- Just started Mass Effect. So far so good. I thought this was supposed to be an RPG? Whatever it is, I am enjoying it so far.
Hey aggie. JRPG's usually hold their price pretty well though.
And I am better still
Perfection.
I know. That's the usual response my balls elicit in people.
i hereby declare I am a fan of HipHopGamer. Thanks vader
Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
I think the guy is a closet Nintendo fan but has so many personality complex issues that he can't come out with it so he bashes Nintendo constantly to convince himself and others he doesn't love it. The above examples prove this, and in the past he readily went head over heels for games like locoroco and patapon (teh charm and teh innovation) but he claims to vehemently hate kirby and all nintendo does because it is teh kiddy. you have to feel sorry for the guy, what a miserable conflicted existence he must lead
