Did you see that Chopin game update? I posted that for you.
What's the most you'd pay for a 2600 game? I'm going with $85 for River Raid.
I'm not going to pass judgment on the game yet, but it didn't impress me in the 2 minutes I spent with it. Did any of you who liked it finish it?
I've only finished the first world. I don't feel like going back to it right now. I guess if you love platformers you can appreciate the subtleties of its level design.
I especially hate the stupid toads that ask you to revisit levels to rescue them. Fuck them and their annoying screams.
Ignore them. Saving them only serve on purpose, and that is to open a toad house at the beginning of the map. Even if you are a completionist, saving toads will not be counted at all. And even if you save them, they will be kidnapped again.
Moral of the story, ignore them, or throw them in a lava pit. Whatever tickles your fancy.
Hey, it looks even worse than Crysis 2!
i finished it last week. it's a pleasant enough game and i enjoyed most of the levels. didn't love it so much that i will go back to get all of the dragon coins to open all the rainbow levels (especially since the few rainbow levels i tried were very similar to others from the main game). it's a good game but that's about as far as i'd go.
have been playing super paper mario this week which is also decent but very disappointing compared to the two real paper mario games. i will finish it by the end of the week though since a bad paper mario game is still better than a lot of other games and certainly worth playing
___
Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
2 minutes. Damn maybe that article about console gamers being hard to please is right.
Of course I finished it, but I finish everything.
Bugs, Super Paper Mario was disappointing.
Halo 2 is BC with 360, i'd imagine you can play it online on the current Live structure.
Then why is Giant Bomb saying this?!
With its seven-and-a-half year legacy soon coming to a close, tonight marks a certain end for Microsoft's online console service. After this, the original Xbox Live servers are going down--for good. No more Halo 2, no more... well, that's pretty much the big one. You get the idea. It's been a strong run for what has arguably been, for better or for worse, one of the most significant developments in the history of online gaming. But with the Xbox 360 so thoroughly replacing its predecessor, it has run its course, and now it's time to say goodbye.
Oh. Then no. Disregard what I just said. Lol.
You guys pay monthly for a service that whenever the fuck Microsoft decides it is time they can pull the plug and simply kill entire online modes from your games. What the fuck are they using all that money for, to wipe their ass. Oh but Xbox Live was so amazing, I would gladly pay for it, please let me suck your dick Microsoft... yeah it was important but they still made you pay for it, they still make you pay for it and now they just shut down a whole section of it and everyone is ok with this.
I love about the excuse that you guys pay to have dedicated servers, oh it plays so much better because I pay for it, hey guess what fuckface I CAN STILL PLAY MY PS2 GAMES ONLINE. Hey guess how much I had to pay to play that shit online, NOTHING.
Yeah some have shut down but many of the popular ones keep on going, cause there is no one giant magic server shit that controls everything and when one mega corporation decides to be dicks and shut it down your games don't magically stop working. I thought Live was about stability, about knowing the games you pay to play online will be there and stay there, OOPS.
How do you shut down Halo 2, that is some of the best online play ever. That's like me putting in an old copy of Street Fighter 2 and having the 2p mode be locked out. The reason Halo 2 is such a great game is by far its online play, without that the game now lives on as just an ok single player shooter. Yeah I am sure there will be some way to play Halo 2 online, but it won't be through Live, what you guys paid for.
I know you guys have no choice, I want to play Halo 3 and Gears online as well, I will have no choice either, pay or you are shit out of luck. But stop being ok with that. One day they are just going to shut down everything from the 360, all that crap you paid for GONE. Online play should be free or at least have options, options so that when the plug gets pulled maybe you can go else where and not feel ripped off that you paid for this service all this time and your reward was to turn it off.
(I forget that Halo 2 of course has split screen multiplayer, so at least that will live on. Halo 1 style, LAN parties for the win)
Yeah I finished NSMB Wii as well. I really enjoyed it. I still need to go back and finish some of the extra stuff though.
Yep. No Halo 2 online anymore, no other original Xbox games online anymore. I don't know why you'd be upset about not playing Halo 2 online though Vader. Just play Halo 3, it's much better anyway.
That is part of why I am so against it. What about someone like me, how often do I really play online, not much. What the hell am I going to do with a year subscription of Live, like 80% of it will go to complete waste. But what if I feel like playing that online game for a few hours, oops you need to buy some stupid plan. WTF. Let me pay by the hour or some shit. Give me options.
You're in time for Vader's epic meltdown of anger and hatred.
I don't care about Halo, its about people paying for Xbox Live, those people constantly saying how awesome it is, how much they love to pay for it, how there is nothing better and then having a piece of it being shut down just like that. And everyone will continue to be ok with it, in fact they are having goodbye parties (that they are still paying for!)
Meh. I don't really play any original Xbox games online any more so I'm simply paying for 360 games online. If they ever feel the need to shut down 360 Live for whatever there next console is then it'll most likely be far enough ahead like it is now where I'm not playing 360 games online anymore. I really like the service I'm getting now so I'm satisfied for what I am paying for it. Plus shutting down original Live will allow them to enhance the current service so all things considered I'm not bothered with it at all.
So glad this place is here, I can't do that at GS. I love you VGPress.
