Yeah MM is like a van Gogh painting. Not many people liked it when he was still alive, but after his death more and more people appreciate his work.
The King of Hyperbole?
Continue, this whole conversation is hilarious.
Yes.
Well, welcome back to the human race.
There are times when not being human would be a source of inner pride. (Alex Hellid)
"I don't know what to say, so I'll just say what's in my heart... Baboom, Baboom, Baboom."
Mel Brooks
Let's keep it a short list. A top 10 should be more than enough. Top 25 or 50 (or even worse, 100) lists are stupid.
"Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue."
Airplane!
Fuck Mel Brooks.
No, not really; I like his movies.
Yeah I wouldn't want to make it a ridiculous sized one. Anymore than Top 25 and the list starts to lose meaning. Still I'd like to see if we could figure out some sort of unique hook for it though.
One of the cable television stations here - AMC - did a Mel Brooks marathon the other night with Spaceballs, Blazing Saddles, and History of the World. I was giddy because I hadn't seen Spaceballs in over a decade, but I ended up shutting it off after 10 minutes. They were censoring so much, and most of it didn't even need to be censored. This cut of the film was clearly going by censorship guidelines from around 1989 so virtually all the good jokes were cut. So sad... And you can't even imagine what happened to Blazing Saddles.
Gears of War 1 & 2, Halo 3, Modern Warfare 1 & 2, Bayonetta, Ninja Gaiden 2, Mass Effect 1 & 2, Final Fantasy XIII, Street Fighter IV, Metal Gear Solid 4 >>>>> Super Mario Galaxy.
Careful there.
That's shitty.
No
I think you could. You could probably make an arguement for a game like Final Fantasy 13. Excellent production value, good story, well thought out combat (or so some say). A lot of care and attention was put into that game so that everything in it was excellent and there are plenty of areas where it does genuinally seem to be unsurpassed. However, I've yet to hear anyone say "this is the best game I've ever played." And that's because the game has no soul and is actual pure evil that was printed onto a Blu Ray disc.
Just for the heck of it, I bought a DSiXL.
Now we'll REALLY see if size matters!
*Vader sits anxiously awaiting the verdict*
Wow! That's great! And I saw a kiosk at Gamestop where they displayed the DSi and the XL side-by-side. The demo showed a bunch of games like Zelda Spirit Tracks, Pokemon, Brain Age, etc. IT DOES MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!
Note the font-size for "HUGE."
I'd get it but I have no money for this. I'm satisfied with my DSi. Plus, you can't transfer DSiWare stuff cross platforms, which sucks. But the DSiXL does enhance the games, BIG TIME! Especially Pokemon! Damn, the game looked great from the demo! Makes me salivate over it...even though I won't buy it!
What sucks is that the 3DS was announced before the XL came out, which was a stupid move by Nintendo, or the reporters who leaked the info. Anyway, I'll be just waiting for the 3DS. Not at launch since I want to wait awhile, but I definitely want it next year!
