Gotta love a man who wears ass-less chaps while taking on dragons!
...and if that is DiRTy enough for you, I've also been playing quite a bit of this:
Oh, and one more time:
!!!
I tried out several games, and they all came out as a blurry, jaggy, dull, mess. Needless to say, I won't be "upgrading" to an HDTV anytime soon. SDTV, FTW!
I played through The Conduit, and I can sum up the entire experiance in only one word: generic.
However, Kevin Sorbo's voice acting = awesome!
I've been playing a hodge-podge of XBLA games working on certain achievements and cleaning up a bit of my backlog. Played some Gears 2 this weekend as well.
I've been playing Gran Turismo 5 Prologue this weekend. Finally completed all races on C, B and A classes, to unlock the S class races, and earn the right to tune my cars. I still haven't touched the drift mode.
I haven't had the chance to play for a few days, but I want to keep going on the Metroid Prime Trilogy and LKs.
Most definitely true. I started wondering what it would look like when GG kept complaining about the quality. Logically, I figured any video stretched up to 6 times it's original resolution would look pretty bad, but it's still surprising to see first hand how bad it actually is.
For all my bitching about the Wii and the HD set, it's not terribly bad.
When I had mine hooked up to a HD-CRT that was 30 inches, with component cables, it looked amazing. Now that I have it on a 40 incher though it's a bit jaggy, but no where near as bad as I once thought.
Also, I think my problem was that it looked bad compared to PS3 with HDMI, but that was not a fair comparison.
Raiden IV
...and...
Raiden Fighters Ace
This series brings back some memories. Well, not really to me but for its legacy. My older brother and cousins loved these but I was too young to enjoy it. And I didn't have enough quarters to pump in to play them. And like a curious little brother (the youngest in my family by the way even among my cousins) I always wanted to play these.
And now I can anytime I want! And yeah, they are awesome SHMUPs!
The older Raiden games are actually much better and more amazing than Raiden IV. Raiden IV has prettier graphics obviously, but the older ones just feel more inspired and legendary.
Plus, Radien IV was $40 freaking dollars! I know it was a rip, but I figured I got Raiden Fighters Ace for dirt cheap at $10, so that equals about $50 for four Raiden games for my 360, so that makes it worth it.
Still these should've been 800-1200pt XBL games. So it kind of evens out. The three Raiden Fighters Ace games are about 800pts, Raiden IV would be at 1200, so that equals 3,600pts, which is rougly around $45. Add tax and that's $50.
I guess when you see it that way, it's not really a rip-off after all!

New Warrior Teaser Site Up!
________________________
More info from Kotaku:
"Capcom US said information on a possible Street Fighter IV update was coming "mebbe Monday". Looks like they were off by a day.
A teaser website has appeared on Capcom's Japanese portal, with the site's URL seemingly promising a 'new warrior' while the site itself gives the date 2009.09.29 17:00 JST, presumably for said warrior's reveal. That's Tuesday, September 29, at 5pm Japan time, meaning those in the US or Europe will need to wait until they wake up on Tuesday morning to see what's going on."
I've been playing write that fucking shit you bastard, play that fucking piano you bastard, run around that fucking block you bastard!
It's awesome and isn't awesome at the same time.
I wanna to be playing rule that fucking kingdom you bastard!
Finally the euro cast is up!
I've been playing the Beatles Rock Band. The game is bloody brilliant, it's a tribute as much as it is a music game. I love the backgrounds, they nailed the way the Beatles looked and moved. For the studio session songs each has a totally different dream scape background, great stuff. Yes its one band but the music is so diverse, more so than most games like this. You got your 60's pop rock, you got some classic rock, ballads and the really weird stuff.
I am not that good at these games so I have no problems with the difficulty. I guess people that play on expert on GH would find this easy. I am loving it, I think it provides a perfect challenge for me, I might even be able to work my way up to expert on guitar.
Story mode is addicting cause I want to unlock all the photos and Beatles extras. I am up to the setlist with Here Comes the Sun. I have been playing on hard guitar, I have not failed a song yet, I 3 star most of them, on the easy ones I get a 5 star. So I am cruising along the game and I reach Here Comes the Sun. I think this is a relaxing mellow song, piece of cake... wtf. This song tortured my hand, I failed on the second to last note. The next time I tried I did even worse. I had to stop cause my hand was done, I had been playing for nearly 2 hours. I cant believe Here Comes the Sun beat my ass.
That's by far my favourite song to play in the game. It's just mapped so well that when hitting the notes just has that exhilaration that makes it so enthralling. I've 5-starred it on expert, BTW
---
Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileI moved my Wii upstairs, so I can play whenever I like.
Played some of de Blob. I am going to finish it 100% soon. I now need to finish levels quickly, to get the fast time achievement. After that I will probably do Eledees and perhaps NMH or MadWorld again.
The solution is to buy one of these tvs:
http://www.home-entertainment.toshiba.co.uk/Regza-LCD-TV/
Resolution +Using its integrated processing power, Toshiba’s Resolution Plus is able to improve pictures by increasing image definition and improving picture edges using correlation with adjacent images. A powerful processor is able to review adjacent areas of an image, determining waveforms of a similar nature and combine pixel information to enhance edge detail and improve the perceived depth and texture within the final picture – creating a sharper and altogether more defined image
now playing professor layton and the diabolical box, and killzone 2. killzone is so much harder than resistance that i think may be less fun, or maybe i need to get used to it

T. Hawk, or Thunder Hawk(サンダーホーク), is a video game character from the fighting game series Street Fighter.
He is the equal of Zangief in strength, but uses more finesse in his attacks. Though large, he can defeat many smaller, more agile fighters with his devastating Rising Hawk, Diving Hawk, and Mexican Typhoon (a.k.a. Storm Hammer) techniques. Unlike most bulky warriors, he does not like to grapple, but he can when necessary.
_________________________________
Subject: A1) What is a hurricane, typhoon, or tropical cyclone?
The terms "hurricane" and "typhoon" are regionally specific names for a strong "tropical cyclone". A tropical cyclone is the generic term for a non-frontal synoptic scale low-pressure system over tropical or sub-tropical waters with organized convection (i.e. thunderstorm activity) and definite cyclonic surface wind circulation (Holland 1993).
_________________________________
Moveset Rising Hawk, Diving Hawk, Mexican Typhoon
- Hakan - An Arabic grappler obsessed with oil.
- Juri - Evil Asian girl fighter working for Seth.
___________________________________All characters will have two Ultras. They will both be available at one time, not selectable like with Third Strike's Super Arts. The commands to execute your Ultras do not overlap.
- It
sounds like the characters from Third Strike are set up with their
prior Super Arts. They had three in that game, so one will be their
Super and the other two their Ultras.
- Gen has four Ultras because of his two fighting styles. One of these is said to be an Air Ultra.
- All characters still have one Super, except Sakura who apparently has a Shinkuu Hadoken (Super Fireball) as well.
___________________________________- Some characters will have Air Ultras.
- The Bonus Stages will be returning.
- This will be an exclusive arcade release at least for a few months.
- An official announcement is said to be coming at the Tokyo Game Show and on the Japanese Street Fighter 4 blog soon.
- Expect the return of the many familiar Supers, and a few new ones
like Metsu Shoryuken.
- You'll see the return of Chun-Li's Kikosho (Super
Fireball), Gouken's Denjin, Sagat's Tiger Cannon (Super Fireball).
- Ibuki has a run command.
- Guile has his Sonic Hurricane move from Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
- Dudley has his Chain combos from Third Strike, plus one additional Chain combo.
- Cody is the only character with an Alpha Counter and he still has
his knife. He supposedly needs his knife to perform one of his Ultras.
- Rufus can cancel-break the last hit of his Spectacle Romance, or the launch kick of Space Opera Symphony.
- Guy has his Chain combos.
- Makoto has her Tanden Renki Super from Third Strike.
- Zangief is said to have a 720 degree motion Air Ultra called the Siberian Blizzard.
- The game takes place one year after Street Fighter 4.
- Dudley was searching for his car in Third Strike, in this game he's searching for a rose.
- T. Hawk's storyline involves him protecting Juni or Juli.
- Dhalsim's new Ultra is called the Yoga Shangri'la.
- There's a new gameplay system called Tadan Saving, the phrase implies a multi-hitting or multiple-level Focus Attack.
- The console characters are all said to be added to the upcoming arcade release, with the possible exceptions of Seth and Gouken.
- Since the game is still very much in development, and assuming these details are legit, a lot could still change, just like Abel's Super/Ultra move did in the original Street Fighter 4.
___________________________________These details came in from various sources on the internet, like Johnny5Optimus on ProjectCovo.com forums, Ultima on Shoryuken.com forums and TimeKillr and Ryan "Fubarduck" Harvey on the NeoGaf forums.
