Disney better not make them all in house or these games will suck.
I think what's going to happen is that you're going to see Disney up their game (god know I can only hope). They've been making a lot of efforts recently towards doing something good as far as their games go. They've picked up a few small development houses, and eliminated a lot of outside relationships. I think between the success of Kingdom Hearts and the Pixar acquisition, they've started to realize that games might actually be more valuable if time is put into them, as opposed to just movie tie-ins. Time will tell I suppose.
Updates done
I hope you're right Robio^
Okami to me has an awesome world to explore and I really enjoyed the battle system. I thought the pacing was fine, it was a bit wierd but still kept me going. It was still a massive game that took nearly 40 hours, it had the exploration elements I love, it had the mix of action and puzzles I love. Because it's like Zelda it has all the elements I look for in a game. It may not be as good as Zelda but for me it's still easily one of the best games of last gen.
I'm going up to Disney next week. OMG we will all be close to each other.
I want to play that.
Its time for another installment of Carnage Corner. On the topic of hardcore games for the Wii:
Publishers that support the Wii with hardcore games are focusing on hardware numbers and ignoring past low software numbers in the hope that the right game will unlock the secret hardcore hearts of Wii gamers (a position Sega and Vanillaware have been open about).
Given the disturbing Play cover (I'm quite familiar with Murasama since I am hoping it is ported to HD systems, but when I saw the cover, I thought some hentai game was in works) perhaps Murasama will corner the market on tentacle violation fans but I strongly suspect it won't do much better than LKS.
Poetry.

He's right about Muramasa sales, I mean that game isn't very commercial, its an original IP, 2-D platformer based on traditional Japanese art? I dont think that Marvelous expects it to be blockbuster. But double curse ye who waits for an HD port!
Really the only way it would do well would be as a download game at a reduced price. Its going to be niche on any system. Besides, Marvelous aren't trying to unlock any hardcore hearts, Wii is about the only system they can afford to develop on, without it they would still be making PS2 games no doubt. Or have gone handheld only or bust.
He's semi-right in the first paragraph, but that omits the good number of 3rd party games that have sold well on the Wii.
You need blockbuster efforts to do well on the system, Monster Hunter 3 is at a million already and Capcom expect 2 million sold and it hasn't released outside of Japan. You can't look at niche games like Madworld or bad games like Conduit and make any decent conclusions.
*hugs wii*
*shoots a bird in carnageheart's direction*
ps sorry i'm making the forum nintendocentric, i know this is not PC nowadays

Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
For the love god I hope Capcom gets another license with Marvel.
Oh yeah another thing, publishers can't gimp their games by constantly falling short i.e making games on rails for instance and expect people to excited about half measures.
Or port 2 year old games like Modern warfare and expect people to lap them up.
Are you reading the same thing I am?
Check again.
Absolutely not. I loved God of War. That game was pure greatness. I can put another notch in the list of reasons why I should get a PS3. Sadly now it's only up to about 5 notches, but still, it's getting there.
I was planning on going this weekend. I'll be sure to clean up a bit so the parks look nice while you're there.
God of War 1 and 2? I thought if you put the PS2 discs in the PS3 you got them upscaled to 720p anyway?
It would help if you stopped peeing on Donald's legs.
CAPCOM BANS MONSTER HUNTER 3 CHEATS
"Because you used modified data to connect online, you're now banned. The ban will be lifted at 22:49 on 12/12/9999. In the future, if you violate the terms of service, it is possible that you will be banned for good."
I see what you did there GG.
God of War Compilation is awesome to hear since when I get a PS3 Slim it won't have BC plus they put trophies in too. Sweet.
They are upscaled, but there is a big difference between an upscaled PS2 game, and a PS2 to PS3 port. Upscaled PS2 games are nice, but even full-screen ones like the God of War games don't really fill up the full screen, the textures are blurry and the anti-aliasing isn't so good.
I have a feeling that they are going to look a whole hell of a lot better than an upscaled PS2 game.
