it's probably sour grapes on my part because i don't currently have a console that would play it, but RE5 does still look to me like RE4HD. looks awesome nonetheless, can't be denied.

I wished it look more like RE4HD. Unless you think HD means Brown colour than you would be right. I think Edge is 100% right about his assesment. Check this picture:

Man those Star Ocean 4 pics look awesome. This game is high on my 'must have' list right now. Same with Resident Evil 5. That game is totally going to rock hard. It's crazy with all these great games coming out steady month in and month out for quite awhile now. I certainly won't complain though.

De Blob is not only the best game on the Wii this year by a long shot, but its also the best game to come out of THQ since the original Red Faction in 2001. Totally love this game. Its also one of the most colorful games you'll see outside of something made by Rare.
I was messing with it last night, and its funny because when you first start the big city it doesn't look like much to brag about. Then, you get in a zone painting the world and going nuts....and out of nowhere you suddenly go "WOW....holyshit this looks pretty badass."
Also started Silent Hill Homecoming and am about 3-4 hours in.
I honestly don't know how I feel about it. I mean, its starts off very slow. But then you get to a point where it feels very much like SH2. The story seems like its a good SH story, but it hasn't ramped up yet. The music is absolutely brilliant though, probably the best SH music ever.
Controls aren't really any better than past games, and neither is the combat. In fact it may be worse in some ways. I'm playing it on the PS3, and they also don't let you put combat commands on the L1,R1 buttons which I prefer on this pad, which pisses me off.
Graphically, its pretty plain but some areas look really good.
Overall as I said I'm just not sure how much I like it. Nothing has really jumped out as GREAT to me yet other than the music, yet it doesn't seem BAD either. I guess the 7-ish scores make sense so far.

My Blockbuster had about 10 copies for 360 and I think 6 for PS3. All the 360 ones were gone and they had 2 left for PS3. I was a little bummed because I wanted to check it out. I ended up renting NHL '09 instead. I'll rent Silent Hill later on when it comes back.

Mushroom Men is looking great, in fact (OMG WTF) most wii games are looking pretty good these days, who woulda thought it?
The Conduit, is still a big bag of MEH. It's got effects? OMG WOW! MP3 had effects, and looked shitloads better, fuck stranger's wrath has effects and looks shitloads better.
Speaking of Stranger's Wrath, I got a different power cable from my cousins, and I was able turn my xbox on. So I thought all was fine. But after 30 mins of Stranger's Wrath it died again, and has been dieing ever since. I REALLY want to finish Stranger's Wrath, it's the third last game on my list of xbox games I must play, and I don't want to start all over again, if the xbox can't be repaired or the hard drive is fucked or whatever, so it has lead to 5-10 minute sessions of paranoid constant-quicksave playing, which ironically is probably damaging the hard drive. My bloody playstation is old as hell, the lid doesn't shut (you have to put a weight on the top) but ffs it still plays games perfectly! Yet the xbox, which is reasonably young, is already having major problems. Is it really that hard to make a product that freaking works for more than a few years? Sony and Nintendo say no, yet your controllers don't even last a fucking month.
Ah well, I'm really enjoying GTA IV so far (just up to Mikhael), but I don't like the fact that there's pretty much only 1 or 2 vendors most of the time. And I can't play some of the multiplayer games, because my router fucking sucks. >_<
In other words my anger combined with GTA's influence is likely to result in a murderous rampage... if I can stop playing it of course!
Yeah that sounds a little weird. I live in a smal. Canadian city of 75,000 people so it's hard to imagine a big US place not stocking the game.
