I'm putting the question to you.  Well, what is it?

I'll delay my answer, as we'll address this topic on this week's The Press Room podcast.

RuneScape. Didn't really have anything to do with the game, though. It was more the timing.

Animal Crossing: Wild World for NDS. I put far more hours into that game than any other game. I played it nearly everyday for 3.5 years. I'd probably still be playing it if my DS didn't break. I still own my copy, and I'll never sell it just in case I ever wanted to return to my town again.

For single player, I 'd have to say Metroid Prime.  I just simply couldn't get enough of that game.

For multiplayer, I've gotta go with Uncharted 2 with nearly 65 hours clocked into that one.

Animal Crossing: Wild World for NDS. I played it for over 200 hours. I bought two copies so I could play it with Mrs. Aspro, but even she did not keep up with my mania.

Probably second would be GUNSHIP on the Commodore 64.

Probably this:

3166 - GoldenEye 007

Followed closely by this:

Phantasy_Star_Online.PNG

These two games just begged you to keep playing day after day.

Goldeneye was the Halo of the late 90's....its the game everyone was playing. It was just so fun to run around that world...even the single-player campaign was fun to go through again and again. When there was nothing else to play, Goldeneye got put in. Plain & Simple.

PSO was the first co-op online title I had ever played, and I couldn't get enough of the world and the friends I had made playing the game..it felt like you were in a living breathing virtual place with a bunch of cool game fans. Sadly, I lost contact with everyone I used to play with. Which was a downer after getting to know these people.

The first Harvest Moon on the SNES was an obsession for me. I developed a strategy for the game so that I could complete the game in 5 days.

But I still say Everquest will always keep the title for me. Its the only game I ever played for more than 12 in a row.

One of the Animal Crossings for me if you are purely talking hours played. BUT in terms of pure addiction, must play now, it has to be advance wars gba.

Minecraft is sort of yes, sort of no. I can go months without thinking about the game, but eventually I'll feel like starting a new building project and all of a sudden I'm sinking another 20+ hours into it.

I guess Doom is also the obligatory answer for me to give as well.

Listen to Iced Earth and play Doom
