We talked about having a stickied thread a while back to keep track of what games we've played, finished, and would recommend. Sort of a place that acts as a summary for what's good and bad and won't force people to dig through pages when they want a review of a game that got released a few months earlier. So here it is.
Enter what games you're currently playing. Let's try and stick with games released within the last 6 months or so that this doesn't turn into a collosal thread of games going back to the Atari 2600. When you have some new games to write about, just edit your post to update the new stuff. Also, as a note try to keep it brief. You can put detailed reviews elsewhere on the site. This is just more from quick reasons why it's good or bad.
After a great start it's settled down into a more traditional jRPG styled story, though much more quirky and eccentric. Still, lots of great innovations that do a lot to help the game feel fresh.
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
Playing - 30 minutes in
Okay so far, but it hasn't grabbed me. A little extra direction would be nice. Flashlight controls are good, but player movement could have used some polish.
Beatles: Rock Band
Playing - Completed
Best music game I've played in a long time. Must play for any Beatles fan. Easier than most music games, but more more artistically creative. Almost as much fun to watch as it is to play.
Awesome old-school arcade shooter that takes the Galaga formula, and goes a bit crazy with it.
A Boy and His Blob (Wii)
Somewhere in Act 3
Good game, but the devs try too hard with all the hand-holding; I don't need a sign telling me which jellybean I should be using on just about every puzzle! Trying to get all three treasure chests per level can be quite challenging, though.
Not as good as Phantom Hourglass, hate the train. Its decent but I can live without it.
NSMB
Playing -on world 6
Okay so far, but it hasn't grabbed me. A little extra variety would be nice. More balance too.

Another Code R
Playing - 10 hours in
If you like CING games its worth playing, very, very slow and lots of clicking through endless dialogue. Story not as good as Hotel Dusk.
Fallout3
Playing - 20 hrs or so
Okay so far, pretty decent, it's very short compared to Oblivion and there is hardly anything to do in comparison. Enjoyable but overated.

Indiana Jones and the staff of kings
Completed
It's fun, stupid, sometimes annoying, very slight, but still fun (in a 6.5 sort of way). If you either rent it or buy it cheap and I would buy it. If only because the awesomesauce Fate of Atlantis comes free with the wii version.
It surely is a looker and well worth playing just for the amazing art. Gameplay is not incredebly deep but it is a lot of fun. I will play it till the end which says a lot.
Demon's Souls (PS3)
Finished 2 levels (about 20 hours altogether with previous attempts)
Amazing game. I've really never played anything like it before. To call it an RPG i think does the game great disservice since it has a real time fighting system that is as deep as any action game.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - finished it and it's a fantastic game. Absolutely thrilling single-player campaign and a terrific bunch of Special Ops missions to do. The online multiplayer is the best, most fun, and most rewarding I have ever played. I'd highly recommend this game but those who play it online will get the most mileage out of it. 10/10.
Assassin's Creed - finished it and it's an excellent game. Gorgeous graphics and superb gameplay. Can get a bit tedious at times but still overall a beatiful game to experience. I'd certainly recommend it. 9.0/10.
Bayonetta - finished it and loved it through and through. Gorgeous visuals, great soundtrack, and brilliant gameplay. Bayonetta herself is actually a character with some depth and it doesn't hurt that she's sexy as hell. Totally over-the-top action and completely insane boss battles add tremendously to this overall excellent package. I can't recommend this game highly enough. 10/10
Earth Defense Force 2017 (360): Beaten. Only downside is stingy achievement points. Only 100 for beating in Normal mode -- all 53 missions. It's a third person shooter, you kill giant ants, robots etc... Hilarious and just plain fun. Most Like: Rampage.
SimCity (SNES) : Beaten. Good game, but once you fill the grid there is nothing left to do. Boredom probably comes from playing this game for hundreds of hours back in the 90's, so I kind of know exactly what to do at all times.
Dynamite Headdy (Genesis): Playing. Game from Treasure.
Vastly improved over first. Much more dynamic pace because of new mission structure. Better combat. Side activities get boring after a while. Lots of collecting to do. Beautiful art and music. Memorable characters, but not all.
Mass Effect
2nd playthrough - 5 hours in.
Second playthrough, now as an infiltrator. Great RPG in a fantastic sci-fi setting, with a heavy emphasis on shooting, but that can be played without using weapons. Great cast of characters. Lots and lots of information and background on political, social and technological aspects. Horrible facility design, repetitive settings, some side activities are obnoxious. Glaring technical flaws.
Better than the original in every way, a truly great sequel with great production values.

Punch Out!!
I can't believe how great this game is. Its totally Punch Out!! revived for the modern era, yet somehow its not much different from the original. Great production values for a Wii game, and unmatched personality. One of those games that's so addictive you'll play til your eyes bleed.

Jet Grind Radio:
One of the few major SEGA games I never played from the Dreamcast days, I'm playing this for the first time now, 10 years later. And its one of those "Fuck! I should have played this when it first came out!!" deals for me. The game is so original that it still feels fresh today, and the graphics, sound, and overall production hold up incredibly well. In fact, they could throw this on Wii and simply add widescreen, and it would look better than most Wii games. Why not make a Jet Grind Collection on the Wii for $40? The game is perfect for the controller.
Lately, I'm into shooting games especially duck & cover gameplay like Gears of War and Rainbow Six Vegas. So refreshing after playing run and gun shooters like Modern Warfare 2. I kind of like the duck and cover gameplay better. Feels more realistic.

Gears of War 1 & 2
8-10 Hours and still playing
I missed the first one so I'm loving it! Still amazing and one of the best looking games ever even though it came out 2 years ago! Probably the best third person action shooting games ever made!
Rainbow Six Vegas 1 & 2
5 hours so far and still playing
I missed these games and since they're dirt cheap now (RSV1 was only $7!), I'm really having fun! The online community is still active so these games will last. In many ways, they're better than Modern Warfare 2 because it's more skill-based than running and gunning. I love the cover system gameplay mechanics. So realistic and awesome. Graphics feel slightly dated though.
Dragon Quest V
10 hours plus
Getting back into this again. I love this series and they never bore me at all. Usually I can't stand grinding in old school JRPGs, but the DQ games have this mesmerizing charm to them that makes them so great and fun to play.
