Here's an observation, and maybe you guys can back me up on this. Japanese devs often work in lots of references to America and Americans, but after that Germany seems to have a favored nations status. There's a lot of games that feature German subtitles, weapons, characters, etc. Much more than other European countries or any other country. I get a little nervous when Japan starts getting interested in the Germans.
I will never play this game but I will remember it as the game with the character with the worst facial hair in the history of facial hair.

Bought it in a brick and mortar store, why?
It looks good I was just wondering if it was digital or physical.
Nintendo has been a bit strange with their more niche games this gen. Every time I think 'I need to get this day one, or it'll disappear from shelves forever', but they just keep making them. I can still track down all the more niche games, more often than not even their limited editions.
Of course a cynic could say that's because they're selling like ass, but lets just assume Nintendo is doing a good job in replenishing stock of lesser known titles.

Y u gotta be a hyperbole hater?
I am still quite happily playing TMS. I have held off on posting any more screenshots as to not spoil anything, as it gets harder and harder not to do so as you get further into the game. However I'm near the 40 hour mark, and it looks like I've got at least 20 more to go. As much as I've enjoyed it though, I'm kind of wondering how many more games like this I have in me. After I hit 30 hours it's been kind of tough to force myself to sit down and start playing. There's so much weird and bizarre shit in this game that it's still always fun to play just to see what's next, but I definitely have hit a point in my life where the idea of an epic length RPG just doesn't appeal to me so much anymore.
Definitely going to need some action porn once this is done. Maybe time to get back into Bayonetta 2.

This is why I have a stack of RPG's I have had for years that haven't been played. Especially these Japanese style games...I mean I have to be in a certain mood. I can play an Elder Scrolls game for 500 hours, but not something like this.

Yeah, that's why I pretty much play one or two jRPGs a year and that's it. And while I did enjoy this one quite a bit, it has sated the urge to play another for a very long time. In fact, I'm not nearly as interested in Persona 5 now as I had been.
Just the game that I needed to start playing. A colourful, quirky, turn-based JRPG. About 5 hours into it now and enjoying it so far.
Mine is still in the original wrapper. Oh well, perhaps if I can squeeze it in between finishing XCX and getting BotW on the 2rd. Yup. That's as good as a chance as any... And to think I even got the limited edition version.

You can do it! I have faith in you.
What did the LE version come with?
robio said:Be warned, the game is a solid 50 hours, even ditching a lot minor sidequests. Don't skip any of the character based sidequests though. They are optional, but not really. Each one will enhance one of the characters combat skills, and that is a huge payoff in this game.
I tend to do most if not all of the side quests in these types of games so that shouldn't be a problem for me. It does seem like it'll be a lengthy game.
Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god! Kiria has just joined my team! Squeeeeeeeeeeee!
And yes I am interested in a private lesson with Maiko.
Really enjoying this game. The combat system is pretty cool, I never tire performing session attacks especially when one of your teammates busts out a random ad-lib attack. You always seem to be accomplishing things whether it be levelling, learning skills, or learning new carnage and radiant unities. I thought that being contacted by these people via the gamepad like you would on a cell phone would get annoying but so far that hasn't been the case. Usually some of the things they say a kind of funny. The dungeons in this game can get pretty labyrinthine however it hasn't been anything too frustrating yet.

I popped this in the other day just to check it out quickly. On the back of the box they make it look as if you can play it with any controller but then I found out fast that you basically have to use the Gamepad for those messages you mentioned.
This was something that always annoyed me on Wii U. Controller confusion. Super Mario 3D World also required the Gamepad for certain spots. Either use it or don't use it...fuck this middle ground grey area bullshit I say!
This is Barry. He's a trainer for the idols under contract of Fortuna Enterprises. He also has a damn near inappropriate obsession with one of the young barely teens stars that goes a little beyond "protective older brother type" to something that makes me uncomfortable.
*sigh* Okay, just go ahead and go get Chris Hansen. I'll just take a seat and wait.
