Dark Souls 3 is done!
I've finally beaten all the Souls games...I almost can't believe it. DS3 was great. I kind of liked the level design better in DS2, but other than that they are very even for me. DS3 did seem to have much better PVP and summoning than the other games though. Are they really not making any more of these? What else does From Soft have to make money on?
Well, now I just need to beat Bloodborne....
Finished the story campaign in Destiny 2. Really the only thing lacking in the first game was the in game storytelling and they have definitely fixed that here. You get a fairly decent story here with cutscenes and this does a much better job in giving context to the things your doing then the first game did. There's the same great gameplay that feels quite satisfying in your quest for better loot. There's a ton of things to do outside of the story campaign such as exploring the various locales for loot, doing many side quests, missions, patrols, going on Strike missions and Raids, and of course the competitive PvP. It's definitely a game that'll keep one busy for a very long time. I've tried most modes and dabbled with a few missions and want not and while I've got plenty left to do in the game I can safely say that it's an excellent game and give it a 9 out of 10.
It was released in Japan, but I think it might have only gone straight to video in America. By all accounts it was a pretty bad movie. So technically the game is a movie tie-in, but most people had no idea the movie even existed.

I've seen that one, too!
It actually looks fantastic, which was enough for me to enjoy it.
If you like pretty pictures that move, it's definitely worth watching. I enjoyed the story as well; but I still enjoy lots of things aimed at children that don't pander to their parents, so bear that in mind...

It's a speed running version of a top down Zelda like game. It's way too easy, but the game feel is nice. It's all loud n punchy, kick ass tunes too.You can beat it in an hour, but it's worth the 5 bucks I spent on the Switch store.
I've beaten games since then. Lets do this quickly.
Swat 4 - It's rad. I like all the weirdo things you gotta get used to like a magazine having its own bullets for that mag, how side strafing is slow, how you gotta try to arreset people first. Good times. Good times. I think some of its higher level play stuff leaves something to be desired tho 8/10
Bayonetta 2 - It's fantastic. It's not anywhere near as good as the first game, and Towers is on drugs. But hey, one day he'll bother to git gud, namasayin? It's still like a shit load better than the crap that usually gets gassed up by the gaming community. 9/10, why was the depth compromised tho?
For Honor - the solo play sucks. The 1 v 1 n 2 v 2 make the game worth a spin. The neutral game is weird in this game, often feels like an elaborate game of chicken, but it's so fucking satisfying to just clean chop dudes heads off in this game. 7/10 purely on the back of the mp. The single player is irrelevant to me.
Metal Gear Rising Revengeance: - It's good, it's probably my least favorite "good" platinum game. The Bayonetta's are deeper, The Wonderful 101 is way cooler, and Vanquish is just so fucking lit. It's the one action game that might compel bitch about the camera, if I didn't have a staunch anyone complaing about the camera in a 3d action game, because "oh my god they had actually move the camera themselves once in awhile, holy shit" is a little bitch rule, but oh my god closes spaces with mastiffs infuriate me. Bitchin music tho. 7/10
Gears of War 4 - It's boring. Holy fuck is the single player boring. It's bog standard, I liked the whole Marcus Fenix tomato thing, but the combat was yawn city. At least the multiplayer is still fun. 7/10 for mp alone, like a 4 for the solo play.
The Banner Saga 2 - #FuckFoolz. It's aight, I didn't feel like they do enough to really make battles all that interesting the more you play, but the game is saved from mediocrity or shit heel city by virtue of the will power mechanic being sort of tied to your caravan's morale, which is tied to you feeding them, and making dialogue choices that aren't so cut n dry, with rewards that you clearly want. So a level of investment when you get punished during those things, since that punishment can show up in combat. It's probably 6/10.
And yeah other than that I've played way too much PUBG this year. and got my chicken dinners.
There ya go, I feel like I've made the appropriate level of contributions after not posting here for months.
Got my BF hooked on Diablo 3 sometime in July. Played through the entire game and the expansion again as a Necromancer.
Totally worth a replay for this character alone!
