Fahrenheit had a bed scene. Nothing inappropriate but it was clear that sex had taken place
I remember that. It's the only appropriate sex scene I think I've seen in a game.
Hotel Dusk and Last Window.
I feel like I want the opportunity to chat these woman up and get them into the sack. I don't want to see the sex or anything but some playful banter would be fun as a side attraction.

You know I posted weeks ago asking for you guys to help me with the final boss, when he keeps warping about randomly and no one has helped.

i meant to but then, i wasn't exactly sure of which part of the fight you meant, nor do i have any very solid advice. the boss fight is divided to 3 distinct parts. the first one is when he's in his car-thing and that's incredibly easy.
the second part, which i think is where you are now stuck is a bit tricky and gets increasingly harder as he gets lower in health. you need a bit of luck for that. what i did was i moved around him constantly (sort of like a boxer). staying in one place is a no no. you must be careful though when you walk in front of the window as it's instant death if he catches you and pushes you out. just dodge his attacks and hit him when you can. near the end the fight gets desperate when he does his bastard attack which is impossible to avoid and you just need to have saved enough health to finish him off before he kills you.
the third part looks really hard at first but it's not so bad. but we can talk about that when you get to it so i don't spoil anything for you

Did you finish LKS yet?
Yes.
No.

I try.
Thanks for the stay away from window advice.

That's because the game sucks and even if you won't admit it your psyche doesn't want you playing it.
Sex in Bioware games is, in my opinion, always handled right. The Mass Effect games do it especially well in my opinion. Both QD games (Fahrenheit and HR) managed to sneak in sex scenes that felt somewhat right.
The God of War sex mini games, however, have always striked me as remarkably stupid. I am probably the most perverted, sick and deranged individual over here. And still I cannot stand the juvenile nature and 12-year-old mindset of such mini games.

I wish someone would turn you into the human centipede.
The ass end.
Haven't played a game worse because of lack of sex, haven't played a game better off because of its inclusion. It tends to be an afterthought giving the player the ability to shag anything in his party (like Bioware games where it's obvious the cast's sexual preferences are yours, not theirs) or something like that. Then again, game stories tend to suck in general so adding a subject like sex on top of the already shitty writing isn't bound to have good results, and since fake sex is not even entertaining like fake violence can be, well, yeah, we're better without. As for your example, just because they had chemistry doesn't mean they had to fuck right there and then so I don't see the problem with that personally. I don't care if my character gets laid in the game, I like stories bigger than that...

That's exactly what I'm talking about.

They are just embarassing. I find them out of character for Kratos as well. He's a morose dude full of remorse and anger and he's always on a mission to get somewhere with some urgency, so the sex scenes in the games are always just odd and out of place (and don't mean anything since you don't even know the female characters).

It's not the entirity of the story, it's a part fo the story that by it's ommission brings the character development down (in the case of Deadly Premonition).

Is that the boss in the little hover car in the office? There is just a lot of dodging, then half way through he changes his pattern, and you need to change from what you were doing to something else (but I cannot remember much more than that).
When Golgo 13 and that girl went to his hotel roo and the lights went out. I was like twelve then, so it was retty steamy for me.

Even the first sex scene (which I didn't get, though, so maybe I'm wrong) would have felt incredibly out of place. Fuck, that whole scene with the ex was incredibly awkward and limp, and not in the, "I'm trying to bang my ex" sort of way. I know it was loved in reviews, though.

That's helpful
I'm playing Deadly Premonition right now, and there is a point in the game where it is clear that you have developed chemistry with a female character. I don't want to spoil it, so all I'll say is, it is VERY clear that an opportunity is there for an expression of physical emotion.
However, nothing happens.
I'm not looking for nudity (not opposed to it either) or some kind of QTE mini-game to bump and grind, that would be awkward and not at all appropriate for the game, but how about a scene where a top comes off and then the next scene of her getting out of bed. Instead, she's gone, and the dude is lying on a bed (having not had relations) smoking a cigarette.
In this case, not having sexual content (or even elluding to it in a PG-13 way) actually made the game less serious.
In another game I played this year, Infamous, I played as a dude in a post-apocalyptic setting (where one imagines random sex goes through the roof) where I became a superhero who saved the little people from disaster. People where taking pictures of me whereever I went with their cell-phones, putting up posters of me etc... I mean, shouldn't I also have been able to attract some groupies in this circumstance? But nothing.
I know the act of sex is something that is basically impossible for games to handle in a gameplay way (it's hard to be turned on while performing a QTE), but to avoid it in some games is outright lame.
How do you think games, for which the target audience is forever aging, should be handled in games, and in what games do you think it would have helped the overall experience?
