So Starbuck's is now selling something called "Cold Brew" Iced Coffee. I tried it yesterday. It was the absolute worst beverage I have ever had. I poured 97% of it down the drain. It had a awful, bitter aftertaste that would not go away for hours--even after using mouthwash!
Starbucks Employee said:"Iced coffee and espresso beverages have a stronger, roastier flavor with a bit of nuttiness that comes from brewing with hot water," says Michelle Sundquist, a 17-year partner/employee from the Starbucks Research and Development team. "Our Cold Brew is smooth and rich, it's very refreshing with chocolate and light citrus notes."
LIES!
I never had Iced Coffee but I make cold brew Iced Tea everyday and it is really good.
I love Iced Tea (unsweetened, no lemon). Never tried a cold brew Iced Tea, though. i didn't know cold brewing was even a thing until earlier this week.
They're not horrible, but I'm not getting them again.
Biscuits and gravy? They look like scones and mayonnaise or watery sour cream.
Biscuits are dry and sweet, to be dipped in tea. That thing with gravy is an abomination.
It's official. All of you are banned from ever coming to the southern United States. And now that Dukes of Hazzard is pretty much off the air, you'll never partake in the beauty of our region.

I think Dukes of Hazzard is still on CMT. TV Land was stupid to take it off the air.

If that's the case they're banned from watching on CMT too.
Is there a porno Dukes of Hazard.
For research purposes of course.

Hey when I drove through the whole of the Deep South and the South-East I sure loved me some country ham and cheese "bisquits" from Hardee's drive-thrus every morning for breakfast. Mhhh ... hmmm... mmmmm!
* OK now in my regular voice for what I was coming here to report.
The quest for the perfect burger continues with two more entries (yes I had burger for lunch and for dinner ... sacrifices I make for the sake of research). Opposite the Smithsonian Museum for American Art in downtown Washington I saw a burger joint called Shack Shake. It was packed! I thought, "this will be good". It is not. In fact it is shit. I payed 15 bucks for what was essentially a very flat, very ordinary burger and crinkly fries. Big disappointment. I will go on TripAdvisor and bury them. Don't know if it's a chain or not and don't really care. I want that fucker out of business within a month.
In the evening I walked down a couple of blocks and found this cool looking "burger and bourbon" type bar called Plab B. Good table service. Excellent burger. Fun atmosphere. Proper restaurant. Cost less than five bucks more than the the stupid Shack Shake. This place makes a killer burger. Proper home made, thick patty. The kind you can have medium and juicy without worrying about food-poisoning. Once again, don't know if this is a chain or not, but if any of you have a chance ... eat there!
we have a new winner:
Why? That looks pretty appealing to me.
The article mentions a black burger from 2012 ... need to find a photo of that.
Behold... This looks awesome. Japan always gets the best things.
