It's a good idea that I would like to participate in. In reality my gaming is pretty haphazard and unregimented at the moment. I think it would only work if it was for a big new title coming out that everyone was anticipating. Maybe Skyward Sword?
^^
Part of what made it successful last time is that we chose a good game that was already very reduced in price so no one had to come out pocket for a full priced titled. Darksiders was going for $20 new at retail and even less used. Pretty much in everyone's price range. We can probably have something for Skyward Sword anyway, but why wait 6 months when there are plenty of other games to choose from.
Anyway I'd be up for it again, though I probably will pass if its Brutal Legend. I hate Jack Black so much that the game has absolutely no appeal to m e.
I propose Mount&Blade: Warband.
Ok not really, but that's what I'm currently playing.
Yeah let's not sit and wait for a game that doesn't even have a release date yet. And with new games it sort of tends to happen to an extend without there needing to be an agreement of this sort.
Further proposals:
- The Saboteur
- Vanquish
- Majin & the Forsaken Kingdom
- Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
- Metro 2033
Of what you just suggested I'd be up for Vanquish, Majin, or maybe even the Saboteur. To throw out a few others:
- Outland - I know it's not new, but it's only $10.
- Bayonetta
- Borderlands
That's what I can think of off the top of my head that's multi-console.
I have Majin and Sabotuer ready to go.
Because of how I get games, I have a long lead time, so I can't just go get a game at short notice. But I'll participate when I can.

I have that one too.

Let's wait a little while for the trilogy to drop a bit in price as I don't think it's worth buying the stand-alone games at this stage.
I'm game for anyone of the ones I mentioned as I already have them. I would also be willing to give sin and punishment 2 another try if we did it as a VGP game club thing. How shall we go about deciding which one to do next?
Holy shit, Brutal Legend is sitting on my shelf, borrowed from my brother and still waiting to be played.
But I just started Vanquish so that seems to be the favorite choice.

YES. Archie would probably be up for a second run.
Okay seriously, how do we decide on which one? Everyone nominate 3 and the one that most people have we play? Or everyone nominate three in order and we weigh the scores?

I think the problem with that would be that most people have played it already.
All right, let's just get to the voting. Throw in your three games:
- Outland
- Majin
- Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood
I am playing Vanquish with or without you so that is my vote, I already started though.
If its for later then Brutal Legend since I have that sitting around.
Going by what most have said, and assuming that Vader will have finished Vanquish by the time we get this started my three are:
- Brutal Legend
- Majin
- Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood
But I will participate regardless provided I have the game or I can get it in time
Earlier this year a bunch of us here attempted to so a kind of "collective" synchronised playthrough of a game. I thought it was a fun thing to do and I enjoyed taking part (even though I sadly didn't get to finish the game in question).
I was thinking it would be nice to do this again. What do you guys think? What game(s) would you propose?
One game I've been thinking (and I guess what I would propose) is Brutal Legend. It kind of fits the bill. Most of us have it. It's under a tenner for those of us who don't have it. It's on both PS3 and 360 so most people are included. It's supposed to be decent. Most of us haven't played it (and those who have - it's probably been long enough ago to have another go-around).
What do you think?
