probably but you need to give me your psn id
I never really considered having both Tali and Liara in my party until I reached Noveria. I always had Wrex and Tali, figuring I had my Tech Specialist and my "Tank" with some Biotics Skills. When I took Liara instead, the game seemed to take on new life! Wrex had Biotics, but he never seemed to use them. Liara on the other hand, she started flinging crap around. Immobilizing my enemies and causing the f'ing awesome Singularity.
Nothing, nothing, nothing beats Liara Throwing someone in the air and then blasting them with a Shotgun! I want to yell: "PULL!" every time she does it! !
I haven't noticed it yet, but does everyone/thing splatter when you use this combination? I killed some Genetic Experiments this way and they blew up into chunks real good... I just haven't noticed if this happens with other Organic Life forms or not!
So. I got Bad-Ass Commando, Pimp Shepard (chatting up Liara; Ashley is a bigotted biyatch). I got my Tech-Savy Tali and I got my Blue-Skinned, Jedi-Knight Beauty Liara backing me up now.
THIS. GAME. IS. SOOO. AWESOME ! ! !
Awesome!

So Leo, now you've had some weeks with the 360. Multi-plat game comes out. Critics and public say the games are the same on each console (it's not a Ghostbusters scenario). Which system do you get it for?
(We'll also assume that this is a game with no multiplayer and it costs the same on both HD systems).
Steel or Archie!
I just discovered the "Install" option for all games on the 360.
Do you?
What are the advantages/disadvantages?

Tough call, but since I am not 100% convinced of the durability of the 360 Slim yet, I would probably go with the PS3 version (as I did with CastleVania)!

Except for one game, there are no disadvantages if your HDD is not a 20 gigger. Advantages include faster booting and loading times, and in many cases, a better performance. Don't install Halo 3, though. It's probably the only game I know where installing makes its performance actually worse. Other than that one, I don't know, maybe Archie knows about other games where installing is inconvenient.
Long story short, yes, install away happily, for it will lead you to better performance (even if marginal, it's better than nothing), faster booting and loading times, and less stress over your DVD drive.

Quicker load times, quieter system, and reduces wear on the DVD drive.
Playing Mass Effect is starting to get me excited for the next Dragon Age.
The one thing that struck me though: The graphics on Dragon Age (1) were SUCH as step BACK from Mass Effect (1)!
I don't understand how BioWare put out a game 2 years later that looks worse!
They seem to be going all out to make Dragon Age 2 better graphically. I DO admit though, when I went to load Mass Effect for the first time, I was expecting a step DOWN from Dragon Age, due to the age of ME, but was subsequently FLOORED!
Thanks to a good friend, I just got Planescape: Torment from GoG.
I'm currently downloading and installing the proper patches and fixes for the game to run adequately on a modern PC.

Maybe it was an engine thing (from what I recall, ME1 was based on a heavily modified Unreal Engine), but it never really bothered me so much.
That being said, I didn't play ME (or DA) on a 360, so maybe that could help as well.

That's not a 360 game...but I don't care. Good game is good regardless.
Why did you need a friend to use GoG? It should accept everyone's money just fine.
It should, but it doesn't. I've been a member of that site for over two years, and not once I've been able to make any of my credit cards go through. Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, you name it. It's probably the only place where I can't use my CC and I'm not interested in opening a PayPal account just for that.
Archangel3371 said:Agreed. Always install, except Halo 3. I totally love this feature.
Halo 3 does install fine, only if you play single player. Installation still works with multiplayer but the loading does take longer.
Bungie fixed this with Reach. Installing signicantly improves the game.
