Vader, Rag, Robio and people with money problems, do not buy Muramasa and Boy and his Blob on day one. Why? Well let's be honest the chances are good that they will flop, especially Muramasa. Wait a few months and the prices will be probably dropped.
Nintendo's first party titles, will never drop in price. So you can buy that on day 1 if you must.
At the same time, some games that don't sell well become notoriously difficult to find. I'd rather pay full price now rather than wait 3 to 4 months for it to be $20 less and really have to work my butt off to find it.
Internet is your friend. Especially is you hack your Wii to play PAL games. The Brits are notorious for cutting prices real fast. I brought LKS for less than half price 2 months after release. The fact that the pound is weak also helps.
I'm not real big on modding my system. I like my WiiWare games and I have a feeling I'd end up missing out on too many of those games. Plus, I hate ordering games online. For whatever reason, when I pay for a game I want to have it in my hands. I don't want look at shipping status to figure out when it's going to arrive.

What has soft modding got to do with your Wiiware games? Gecko OS is just a program that let's you play games from other regions. And you can play homebrew games!

Do firmware updates for blocking mods not conflict with whatever soft modding you're referring to? I had (possibly incorrectly) assumed that those firmware updates were also required to get into the Wii Shop Channel.
Dissidia Final Fantasy August 25 and SoulCalibur Broken Destiny Sept 1!
Also in Sept. Nostalgia.

No, wait a minute. while, i may not actively show as much love for the PSP as say for my DS (or even wii), i certainly don't hate it and i'd even go as far as to say i'm glad to have it. a bit like a stepchild. it's useful when times get tough. i think gran turismo mobile, mgs peacemaker, little big planet, soul calibur and maybe some others will be mine
it's certainly getting more love than my ps3 which is now more of an unwanted bastard child

Holy shit, a man with a plan. HOORAY!
He even bought Little Kings Story, unlike most of you asses.
*Now buy HOTD Overkill, ass*

Why's that?

i'm not sure. i feel i should
be enjoying it a lot more than i am. so far the only games i have
played consistently on it are street fighter IV and fifa 09.
street fighter IV is not much fun on my own and i get my ass kicked online because i try to play it as though it was street fighter II as i never bothered with all the special moves and those power gaugesare confusing to me (old dog can't and doesn't want to learn new tricks)
fifa 09 is only fun with a friend which makes it a "once a month" (twice at most) game.
little big planet and uncharted are good games but i had played them before.
guns of the patriots: i wish i could get into this, i really do
which leaves me with bioshock, RE5 and valkyria all of which i'm sure i will enjoy a great deal when i get around to it.
so, it's not a case of not having good games because i have plenty. i just feel no real draw to them. i think the more indie/niche works i crave for are all on PSN (which i have no access to, because sony evidently feels we are third world here and our money is no good to them). it's sad but i've put many more hours into animal crossing than in all i played on the ps3 together
Oh I see.
I finally got my mitts on SFIV on Sunday. Its sitting next to my lamp. Need to play more. I hate all the gauges and super moves too. Its a bit slower than I'm used to as well.

In Europe, unfortunately these are all 2010 and apart from Muramasa the other two are 2010 in America too.
And Red Steel 2 was bumped to 2010 too. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Ravenprose said:I'm glad Red Steel 2 got bumped. That tells me Ubisoft isn't going to rush it out like they did with the original.
If they did a New Play Control Red Steel 1 with the same controls as RS2 and fixed the textures and polished the frame rate, would you be interested?

Not after having seen Red Steel 2. no stop-gaps or retreads, i just want RS2 when it's ready

I'm worried that the sword play will get repetitive. I preffered 70% guns 30% swords. In RS2 they are going to force you to use swords for a lot of enemies and it sounds like there is only 1 gun?
I would take a new play control version of the first as a nice bonus and still get the 2nd game. They both look very different anyway.

Fuck Zelda.
(I'm still buying it)
