Good stuff guys, that was fun. I tried a new character, bike, and wheels. Metal Mario, Bone Rattler, and Monster Wheels. I need more practice with that setup.
I might switch it up next week, but I'm probably get rollocked with a different setup. I got used to the bikes handling. You guys don't use bikes?
I never have used a bike as I coulnd't get used to the handling after trying in MKWii. But yesterday I got the impression that bikes are a bit faster is that true? I like the way the vespa looks. Especially riding it as Villager. Maybe I should learn to play like that.

Bikes are slower in general but the handling is so much better. In MKWii bikes were slower than karts. For MK8 the producer did a series of videos showing bikes vs karts and karts mostly were faster but there were some tracks where bikes were better.
The results:
I got pummelled on Electrodome on the GP where me and Bugs tied. Got knocked off the track and then hit about 6 times in a row.

That happened to me on almost every race. Once you get caught in the murky middle it's like everything anyone throws just hits you.
Hope more of us can join in future sessions though even with just three of us it was fun. I enkoyed it.
Yeah I usually ride bikes but my usual one is the Zelda bike. The Bone Rattler is a bigger 3-wheeler plus with the heavy character the handling was quite different. I always seem to get stuck in the middle and hit by everything but it's still fun.
I have all the DLC but I was not available to choose any of the 16 DLC courses last night. I assumed one of us didn't have it. It's not big deal. I'd rather as many of us as possible play even if we choose from a smaller number of circuits.

I chose to play without the DLC cause Supreme couldn't join last week. So I had to set it to the tracks on disc only.
Sadly won't be able to make it tomorrow. Again also won't be here next week as we're going on a small vacation should be able to make it to both splathours though.
OK. That's probably better for me too. I was going to try to make it but I have to be at the airport at 3.30 am tomorrow morning so it's probably better if I don't have this to worry about as well.
Will have to wait and see how things are when I get back at the end of the month.
Hey so, give me some tips.
On the replay I see chrs doing flips and other moves. How do you do those. Also in MKDS there was a snake move, is there something like that in MK8?
Also, what is the best way to get off the starting line?

ZR (might have the button wrong; one of the triggers, if iirc) pressed as you do a jump does the flip, which also gives you a speed boost. You get the biggest at the start boost by accelerating just after the second countdown beep. Haven't played in awhile so the timing might not 100% correct...
