Mario Kart 8 ... I can do.
Splatoon I don't have yet. And I hope to be away for most of August. Will see what the situation is in September when I get back and have the game.

Buy Mario Kart. Again.
If we do have a Euro/Aussie hour and a USA/Rest of world hour then someone else, an American probably will have to commit to open a room as the times will probably be far too late for me. Any volunteers?
If the matches are full (which I think is unlikely) Latecomers can open a new room right?
Winners sig for a week.
How many of us here actually have this game? I don't think it's all that many anymore.

Lots, unless people sold it?

Wednesday is just a test - this is why I need peoples input as to when is best and timezones etc. How far ahead of GMT are you? And what window are you more availible to play?
Also I'm thinking Saturday might be better than mid-week purely because when us Euros are home in the evening Americas are still at work and the later we push the UK time the Euro time gets into the midnight hour and the further ahead it pushes the Aussie time too.
So it looks like the bulk of the players are grouped together:
- -5 hours behind GMT - Travo, Gagan, Nintyfan, Archangel
- GG, Supreme AC, Iga, Bugs within 2 hrs of eachother
Aussies are a far out though.
I took Edgecrusher and Vader off, as I think they don't own MK8 anymore? So for the -5 group, if MK were to happen on a weekday, what time window -your local time- would work for you?
Or do you think we should shift to Saturday? Or to float an idea, do both on Sunday?
Tomorrow turns out is touch and go for me. There is a possibility I will be going to the theatre with my sister and I may not be back by UTC19.00 (which is 10pm my time.)
Don't know if it's worth moving it just for me though. You can go on and start without me if you like and I will try to join as soon as I come home.

Da fuck.

It'll be finished by then, it's only for an hour. But it's just a tester, a final day and time hasn't been set yet.
I just noticed this thread: Mario Kart 8 Online -- Hook-Ups, Highlights and Luigi Stare Moments!
I've never clicked through, so I completely forgot about its existence *facepalm*. If people want to just continue meeting up through there, that's fine. We can scrap this idea, makes things easier for me and no one apart from Bugs seems interested in this MK meet up so far anyway.
GG, don't mean to put more work on your table but it may be worth doing a table of who has what. Have three columns MK8, SSB, SPTN and every user in each row with a tick in the boxes under the games they have. It may tidy things up and give a clearer picture of what is possible, easier. It seems hardly anyone has MK8 anymore. Probably the same for Smash. Don't know about Splatoon, perhaps a few more since it's more recent.

Problem is I am doing the same listing for 3 different threads to keep everything standardised. If people don't own the game they don't show up, end of story. The timezones is just to show who is where. I worked a table up just now, will update the OP momentarily.
EDIT: I updated the timezones chart for only current owners of Kart (as far as I am aware?) - the full list is still in the Online gaming hookup thread in the OP.
So where is everyone? Or am I an hour early? I'm only one hour ahead of London dammit!
Er, you're early buddy.
Room opens at 18:50 UTC

Behind? You said you were +1 hour before?

Well, then Iga and me are 2 hours ahead of UTC it appears. But we're only one hour ahead of London though...
gamingeek said:Behind? You said you were +1 hour before?
Behind? Who said behind? Ahead, that's what I said!
I'll open the room in 5 mins, leave it open till 19:00 UTC to see who joins.
I'll only be playing for an hour, but others can create a room after if they want to keep playing.
Room is open, my voice chat is off as im with people.
What's needed from you?
1. Update and add all your Wii U friends from the Online Gaming Page: Events, codes and hookups page
2. Using the World Clock tell me how far behind or ahead are you from London Time?
So far:
*This list is for current Mario Kart 8 owners - the full timezone list can be found in the Online gaming Hookup thread*
3. Get used to using our website UTC Clock as it will be the same for everyone regardless of where you are in the world (see top right of webpage)
4. Be willing to use temporary sigs to advertise meet ups or promote victories - a link will be given
5. A commitment to show up. Because otherwise this will never work. Even if 2 or 3 people show up it will be a victory.
The aim is to have a 1 hour session a week - which can continue for longer if people want to. I need your input and any ideas into how this might work considering the different timezones. I was thinking maybe a Euro/Austrailia session and a North American one? So two - 1 hour slots on a Wednesday.
REGULAR TIMES NOW SET FOR WEDNESDAYS AT 19:00 UTC
A PRIVATE ROOM WILL BE CREATED 10 MINS PRIOR, THE MATCHES WILL START AT 19:00 UTC
