Right now "Papers, please" is filling the time. Strangely enjoyable for something so mundane.
Ultimate Doom, it's still an amazing video game. E1M4's ghetto Pantera music is still great.
Destiny: The Taken King: I did a few missions with William and Philip, and while I can't speak too highly for some of the other things I disliked with vanilla (for instance Crucible is still feces), they actually created boss fights in The Taken King, that are either visually distinct from the standard mooks (and not in a busy ass armor sort of way) and have some sort of mechanical/gameplay twist that standard enemies don't.
We fought a pair of brothers where one dude was flying, and another dude was coming in to launch rockets in the air and had a bubble shield protecting him. It was actually a cool little dynamic. One of the other bosses we fought in pitch black darkness, and then the main final boss of Taken King, actually feels climactic.
Meanwhile shit like the Black Garden were trash can level design, with 3 large robots that looked like every other minotaur in the game, and when it ends you g....wwait...wait that's fucking it?
It's like the first time in life Bungie has actually taken a fundamental flaw in their game that was routinely criticized, and actually fixed or made an effort to improve it. Almost like they were developing a video game, and not bungie bullshit.
We also did Prison of Elders which bumped up my gear fairly quickly. Eh, I wouldn't go out of my way to play that mode, though it should have always been there given what the scope of the title was supposed to be. I would like to see what the harder modified versions of that mode play like. Firefight in ODST was the only thing I liked about ODST, and I dig me some Horde and Terrorist Hunt. The one round we played, it's a nice twist on those type of modes, but it would only be aight in comparison for me. Hell of a lot more fun than the crucible though. Which again, is feces.
The Division: Wasdie turned on me and has burnt himself out on this game, before I ever got to even finish it (maybe like 10% my fault), but I've been plugging at it little by little with John in broop, and doing side stuff on my own.
A: Any and all side missions are garbage.
B: I feel like you don't level up all that fast, because I've been doing everything and I'm like 3 levels below what the next proper story mission is.
I don't remember Destiny vanilla that hard, but I remember I got to a point where hard difficulty was out of my range, not necessarily the missions. Also there is no real strike equivalent in this game. It's all just run around this city, do these broop missions, and pimp out your HQ in search for the dopest Ak47 and beanie.
I also do not care for the combat, I feel overly restricted and don't have the same level of escability I get in shit like Uncharted, or even more deliberate cover based games like Gears of War. And the game really has no excuse since it's basically Gears of War, but nowhere near as good.
I went into the dark zone for a few minutes, I promptly left the dark zone.
robio said:It took a few hours but I am loving Monster Hunter 4U. While the controls definitely take a hit on the regular 3DS controller and I firmly believe the game would be better appreciated on a large screen, it is still an absolute blast to play. I am looking forward to going very deep with this game.
How far in are you? Don't know how many hours I put into it yet, but I just beat the "leathery bird thing with the obnoxious stunning flash and poison". Also, we should trade friend codes as you don't show up in my in-game list of friends who own the game.

Aces Wild.
It might actually be the best 2d beat-em up ever fucking made from a combat engine standpoint, but it's not good for my blood pressure to start the day lol.

Definitely not good for my blood pressure, I'm basically gonna tap out. This game is hard as shit.

17 hours in. Just got to the Island of Japanese Cats. I'll send over my friend code to you tonight. I think I'm close to the point that I'm ready to start teaming up.
I've been playing Deep Dungeons of Doom. I hadn't planned on actually playing it this much.
By Miu Watanabe.
I've been playing Far Cry 4 and having a really good time with it. I really dig the colour palette in this game, I find it quite pleasing to look at. The gameplay is pretty solid as well.
Beat Battlefield: Hardline this week. Loved it.
Now finishing off my free copy of Limbo (Thanks MS!) before getting Inside.
Also trying to get past an early chokepoint in Wolfenstein: The Old Blood.

Really miss your posts man.
I've been playing Doom, but my PS4 has bulimia again and randomly spits out the disc while I am playing. Not happy Sony. Not happy.
My own fault for not getting it on PC ot XB1 I guess.
Also, beat Limbo. Gave ti an 8, but none fo the trophies popped and XB1 shows my progress as having playing it for 9 hours with 0% progress. So... I guess I am a ghost.
And then I find out the one cable I lost in the move is now worth hundreds of dollars (NGC component cable). I ordered some composite to HDMI cables today for another project.
I have been feeling bad for not posting here recently. The reason is I haven't played any videogames in months. In fact I don't even recognise the names of the games most of you guys are talking about these days.
This is the only console I have been using in recent months:
These are my controllers:
This is my rig:
This is what I'm playing:
Those games are probably more interesting anyway. post about them.
They are but they are much better listening to than writing about. I will most probably be buying a Tascam recorder in the next month or two so I can listen to practice sessions. I will then be able to record and post a few mixes in case anyone has any interest.
Returned to Call of Duty: Black Ops III for some online multiplayer this weekend since it's double XP.
