Oh and I like Kelp Dome, I however do not like it for Tower Control.

It's awesome for that. Shooting through the metal walkways.
I really love this game, but haven't been able to play it much for the past couple of weeks as there is no offscreen play. It would actually work without it, you know, with a disadvantage. I would take it.

That's not my issue, my issue is that it's like the map Relic in Halo 2 for CTF, where maybe getting the flag can be rough, but once you grab it, you will more or less score. Once you get that tower to turn the corner, it's a done deal on that map. It's only really busy if you can keep the tower in that large center space.
Regardless I want less shitty teammates. It is the stupidest design decision in life that
-The game doesn't allow you to matchmake with your friends
-You can't fucking back out of lobbies
-You can't create multiple loadout sets that you can pick between matches
-You have to fucking wait 4 fucking hours for maps to rotate and modes to rotate
The game is cool, but someone other than Nintendo should have been handling the online stuff and structure because Nintendo does annoying Nintendo things.
Maps rotate every hour on the hour.
Team mates is never a big problem IMO as everyone gets jumbled. You have just as much of a chance being on a good team as being on a bad one.
Played some of the new map yesterday, the tower one. It has a very unique flavour to it, it's the only map with such verticality. Holding your ground at the center seems the key to success here.
You can say what you want about the constant drip feeding of new content, but the later maps are clearly more complex than those that the game orginally launched with, it's not like there wasn't a grand plan behind how and in what order things launch.
On a related note, I sucked yesterday. Barely could get any kills in and kept being splatted myself. Very annoying
I can;t wait to get back into Splatoon. I've been super busy in every other aspect of life. Hopefully on Wednesday I can get some time.
When I am this busy I tend to game on the PC, also it's warmer in my office that the games room, and at this time of year that's also a big deal.

Plenty busy here as well, I have just accepted the fact that if I want to game any, I'll be trading that time with time I should be sleeping. Like you said on the podcast, competition has become stiff when you compare it to a month or 2 ago. And there's also more idiots who jump around all the time. I wonder what Foolz and Vader will think of it when they finally suck up their ink and dive in, seeing as it's such a different game from when it first released.

It's almost August!

I fully acknowledge the importance of sleep. I was on Team Sleep during the last Splatfest. Sad to see that only 1 out of 3 Inklings prefer sleep above food though.

Wow that is pretty poor I must say.
Food is overrated even though I do take pleasure in eating and in cooking it. You can go for many days without food and be alright. Without sleep ... not so much. At least not after 30.

Yeah, even more so since their greater numbers cost us the overall victory, despite Team Sleep prevailing in 52% of the battles. Just goes to show that a lack of sleep can seriously impact your performance.

This, coming from the chef of the banana-not-dessert dish? Quell suprise!
You just wait till you just get to try my bobotie!
... I swear that's a dish not a body part or a sexual position (or proposition)

Seriously, check out the youtube video I failed to embed.
Anyone up for some splatoon in about half an hour? Hello? ...Anyone?
The teammates I've been getting in ranked are so aggressively stupid.
The amount of times they just shoot the tower instead of climbing on it for the quick take over annoys the shit out of me. Lost a match where I went 30-2, and got our tower into the 20s. Fucking assholes.
