I keep thinking this may be it ... even though it's not what I would like ideally. It may even be a Shovel Knight 8-bit graphics style of game.

I'd like to see something like a modernized Castlevania III. Multiple playable characters, optional and branching paths to the end of the game, and impossible to see everything on just one play-through. Really give some incentive for multiple play-throughs.

What does it mean?
Game isn't going to be 2D? 3D then...?
