9. SoulCalibur V [PS3] - 13th of December 2012 to 21st of March
Took me long enough. I can't tell if the series is changing too much, or if I'm just not as interested as I used to be. 5/7
10. WWE 2K15 [PS3] - ? to 29th of March
Yes, I played two versions of the same game. The PS3 version, though, has an NXT mode instead of the PS4 version's career mode. 4/7

1. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate - Amazing game. It's possibly the most addictive game I'm played in over a decade. Kill monsters to get materials to make weapons and armor in order to kill harder monsters. Repeat. Simple concept. Amazing execution. Possibly one of my GOATs. Technically I've beaten it, but there's still so much opening up in the post-game that I'll be playing for a long long time. Completed 1.25.15
2. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse - Lots of fun, cute as hell, and surprisingly tough. The last couple levels get pretty nasty, and the final boss fight is no joke. The game is a little too short, and given the game's length they shouldn't have done the boss recycling thing. I think they could have done something more creative there. Still I'm happy with it overall, and suspect I'll go back to it at some point to try out the multiplayer. Completed 3.1.15
3. Kirby's Dreamland 3 - Piece of crap. It's absolutely gorgeous and I think it's soft colored pencil artstyle makes it a strong case as the best looking 16-bit game ever made, but that just makes it an aesthetically pleasing peice of crap. It's seriously boring, low on challenge, and insanely low on direction given that in each level you have to complete some kind of secret task that they can't even hint at. Blech... Completed 3.14.15
4. Kirby Super Star - After playing it, I get why people consider this to be the best game in the Kirby franchise. There's a lot to like here. Basically its llike a dozen games in one. Some are actual stories. Some are just mini-games. The Great Cave Offensive was my personal favorite. It's basically one long treasure hunt through a giant cave. To find everything you'll have to fight, do some light puzzle solving, and lots of exploring. Everything I love in a game. Anyway great title. Totally recommend. Completed 3.16.15
5. NyxQuest - One of the best utilzations of the Wiimote ever. How this game didn't have dozens of imitators is still beyond me. Short game, but a lot of fun. One of the best that WiiWare had to offer. Completed 3.22.15
6. Earthbound Beginnings - As a fan of Earthbound and Mother 3, it was neat to see the origins of the series, but I can't honestly say it was fun. Still I enjoyed the experience. Between the story, the setting, and the way the world was laid out, this game was trying things that had never been done before (some of which was fortunately never tried again). Plus, the game really felt like a protoype for Earthbound. So many characters and items end up coming back, renamed and slightly tweaked, so it as fun seeing them in their original state. Completed 6.29.15
7. Steamworld Dig (Wii U version) - Second time playing it, this time on a console. It definitely feels more at home on a handheld, but it's still an excellent game. Truly the most unpretentious game of 2013. Completed 7.20.15
8. Dragon Quest Monsters 3: Caravan Heart - I used to joke that S-E could shit in a box, put a Dragon Quest label on it, and I'd buy it. After playing this game, I can completely and 100% stand by that statement. Uughhhhhh... so bad. It was a bold move to jump away from the traditional DQM formula, and the idea they had wasn't bad, but the execution was. It could be fixed and fine tuned into a decent game, but it's no shock they decided not to go went back to the traditional formula with the DQM: Joker series. Completed 7.28.15
9. Binding of Isacc - I've spent most of my summer with this game and it's easily the most addictive game I've played in years. The standard for indie games has been set as far as I'm concerned. I couldn't get the final final ending, but I got 15 of the 16 endings so I'm claiming victory on this one. Completed.... many times in August and September
10. Minecraft - This game does indeed have an end or at least an end monster, and thanks to my son who has damn near plays the game daily we go to the end and I finally saw and killed the Ender Dragon. It's a great sandbox experience. I had my fill of it after 20 or 30 hours, but its solid enough that it's worth spending some occasional time with. Plus it's hard to argue that this really is the most important game of the last decade. Glad I've spent time with it. Completed 9.14.15
11. SteamWorld Heist - Great game. Almost nothing out there like it. Takes a while to get going, but once the roster is full and you have a decent assortment of weapons it really hits its stride. Can't wait to see what's next in the SteamWorld universe. Completed 12.21.15
12. Bayonetta - Hard as hell, but it totally lived up to the hype. Amazing action game, and Bayonetta is definitely a character that the gaming world is lesser without. Completed 12.31.15

So...what happened to the government agent dude?
11. 31st of May: Swords and Soldiers II.

Why change the name?
22. 6th of September: Grow Home.
At least it's better than Gone Home.
23: 7th of September: Gran Turismo 5.
Halfway through A-Spec, the credits play. So apparently I've finished it. Hooray.
24: 14th of October: Plague Knight.
Confirmed the mediocrity of Shovel Knight's level design (exluding the final few levels which are clever), and how much Shovel Knight relied on its mechanics.
25: 22nd of October: Life is Strange.
"And isn't it?" - Phil Fogg.
26: 30th of October: The Beginner's Guide.
I always knew he was an arsehole.
27. 17th of November: The Witcher 3 Hearts of Stone.
So much better than The Witcher 3.
xx. 28th of November: Resident Evil Revelations 2: FUCKING SHIT ON A STICK DIED FOR YOUR SINS.
FUCKING SHIT ON A STICK!!!
28: 2nd of December: Sunset.
A better sequel to Interstate '76 than '82.
29: 2nd of December: The Graveyard.
YOSO! You Only Sit Once.
30: Thirty Flights of Loving.
No interaction>jumping puzzles. FUUU.
31: Gravity Bone.
Jumping "puzzles" fuck dis shit, son.
32: Thirty Flights of Loving Developer Commentary.

1. Hard Reset: Extended Edition
2. A Bird Story - worth $2? Yes. Worth the hour and half to play it? maybe.
3. To the Moon - nice effort.
4. Child of Light. 4/5 stars. They made a turn-based RPG with a good battle system, and it was charming. But I was blinded by the light, this was not GOTY 2014.
5. Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor I've logged over 13 hours into this one, and it just keeps crashing without autosave. I've likely spent 3 additional hours re-doing missions because of it, so if any of yo don;t want to count this as a Beat, then that is okay with me, but I'm done with the game, and it is not because I want to be. Most likely would have contended for my GOTY 2014.
6. LEGO: The Movie: The Game. 8.0 Great understanding of the source material and fun to boot.
7. Evoland. Good when it's great, mediocre when it's not. This is a concept album, which when taken for what it is outside of that fact defines bland. 5.5.
8. Jazzpunk, PC. I could probbaly just play this game for the rest of my life, as long as there were new levels.
9. Costume Quest, PC. 5/10. Nice elements.
10. 007, Quantum of Solace, PS3

It only took a year and five months.
15. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes [2] - 31/08/2015
It's not as easy when the enemy can spot you from a football field away.
16. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood - 06/09/2015

Also, you mean: "and you thought 84 was good!"
...yeah. That's what that meant. Aarny beat 84 games... and you thought **DVader's** 69 was good...!
With all the DLC talk and with no exact posting of the games you beat, I'm not really looking at the numbers anymore. It's now too confusing! As far as I am concerned you took 2014, but as for 2015... Bah! Just beat lots of games!
I'm really glad we do these threads every year. Really, its a great way to keep track of things.
