I started playing MK8 last night.
I will probbaly be playing single player until I rank up?
Not a great first impression, playing 50cc is pretty dull, just press accelerate and win. I am sure it will develop, the game has to cater to a broad demographic, so makes sense it would start slow.

Hey, so how do you buy DLC as you guys suggested? When I go into the store the only option is to download Mercedes related stuff.
Played some online, did pretty well.
Does playing singleplayer Grad Prix's rank me up at all? I unlocked some stuff.

You can skip 50cc entirely. Play 100cc for a tiny bit then move onto 150cc to cut your teeth.
Hmmm, not sure why you haven't been able to find the DLC. There is usually a huge banner for it on the e-shop. Hard to miss.

Not sure on how I feel about being pressured in getting all of the DLC. It's a good game, but honestly? I haven't put the hours in to justify getting the DLC at the asking price. I know I won't be coming back to this often unless it's for VGPress game hours
Sorry if I ever came across like I was putting pressure on you or Aspro or anyone about getting the DLC. I really hope I wasn't as it was not my intention at all.
If anything, it was more like a recommendation or advice because personally I think that it's great quality content and rather good value if anything. Four extra turnies (16 additional courses) plus extra players etc. That's like another 50% content over what comes in the box for something like 14 euro IIRC (by buying both packs together). That was very good value for me. But I understand it's not the same if you don't play the game near as much.

Yeah don't feel like you have to get the dlc. I have it myself but I don't mind playing with any of you guys without it. I'm sure everyone here is fine with that as well.

And there's very little chance of me buying the other one.
