If Revengeance didn't have camera issues this would be the easiest 10 I've ever given. As things stand it's still brilliant, staking out new territory in the genre and adapting certain Metal Gear characteristics so well that it makes the competition look outrageously bad. This is simply the ultimate one-man show, worth its ticket price many times over, an experience that improves exponentially as it gets faster and as you get better. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is a thrilling and almost flawless fighting game - come get some.
WOW!!!! The intro to this game is nuts. I think I have fought more boss battles in 2 hours than I did in all Of DmC. I have spent most of my time listening to codecs though, easily over an hour of them in the first mission alone. Crazy the amount of detail put into all aspects of the story. Loved hearing about the legendary solid snake, RIP. All the humor is still there. The action is not as interesting as DmC but everything around the combat is better.
I feel as if I've been waiting for a 'Free Blade' type of game like Revengeance all of my life! There was a game on the PC that attempted it years and years ago, which was not entirely terrible, but I don't even remember its name at the moment. EXCELLENT game mechanic! Archie, you are going to F-R-E-A-K when you get to try it!
Sorry. They don't compare. While you technically could strike from many angles in SS, the game FORCED you to use it in VERY specific ways, and you couldn't cut apart (almost) anything and everything. I just need to face the fact that I am never going to be a fan of 3D Zeldas. I have yet to finish a single one.

Aw, I was hoping we'd see how Sunny was rescued.
Well, she's IN the game (supposedly), maybe we'll get more details on that. If this game does as well as it should, I can see them doing a Prequel. It's what Kojima originally intended. I DO hope this becomes a regular series!

But this game the slashing is almost meaningless as you just swing widly and cut things to pieces, all you do is aim at a box or a specific limb. Plus the aiming is terrible. In Zelda you actually sword fight. I guess if its the carnage of just cutting through everything you wanted then yeah this game does it.
Not that far into the game. Just beat Mistral... but...
MY GOD, I AM FINDING THIS GAME MORE FUN THAN ANY GAME HAS THE RIGHT TO BE!
SO. VERY. VISCERAL!
Raiden is a bona-fide BAD-ASS now and FINALLY should be given the respect he's deserved since MGS2.
It's the kind of game that MAKES you WANT to play better. I KNOW I could be parrying more, saving more Civilians and playing with more Finesse. I am just having FUN right now --BUT-- (unless it gets impossibly hard later on) this is the kind of game I feel like I am going to want to start playing again AS SOON as I finish it, just to see how much I've improved!
The only thing I haven't liked so far: Raiden taunting an enemy that was hidden in a Box. "Where'd you learn THAT from?" C'mon! Don't make fun of SNAKE!? That's NOT COOL!

Wii Sport Resorts has a mini game that has you cutting stuff.
But Iga and Vader, Leo is a Sony fanboy so is obviously going to ignore those games and focus on Revengeance.
Wait... what am I a fanboy of today?
I'm starting to lose track...
Developer: Platinum Games
Publisher: Konami
Platforms: PS3, Xbox 360 and NOT PC
Release Dates:
Welcome to the official Metal Gear Rising thread! In less than a week we get to play the newest action game from Platinum Games, and as we all know it uses the Metal Gear universe. Combining two things I love means this game will be amazing. Those expecting Metal Gear Solid need not apply. Those expecting balls to the wall action and non stop insanity, you are home. The demo is out now, go ahead and try it if you have yet to do so. The rest of you we have a few more days left.
The game is confirmed to have 30 VR missions on BOTH versions.
There will be exclusive PS3 DLC at a later date.
I have been following some reactions to the game and its get tons of positive impressions. It seems it takes over 8 hours to finish on average. Most people recommend playing on hard. The boss fights are incredible it seems. I can't wait.
Reviews are under embargo until the 19th.
