No most of the time it's OK if you just radio them when you are really close by and they tell you where to park/moor. Yes you always pay fees. How much it is veries a lot. If you are going to moor in a river or a creek etc you just pick a bouy to tie your rope around and the harbormaster usually comes by at some time to register you and ask for the mooring fee.
Ah I see. What happens if you sail away without paying? Coast guard chase you down?

Almost picked that up as well, may end up doing so tomorrow. Played a little bit of the demo and liked it plus it's $5 cheaper then regular 3DS games.

I was set to take advantage of the flash sale... and the I bought Yoshi's Island on the Virtual Console. I regret nothing!
I was going to take advantage of the flash sale, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

Totally old-school Nintendo. It's so colorful, so whimsical, you can't help but smile when you play it. It's typical Kirby, though, and that can be good or bad, depending on how you look at it. It is very, very easy, but there's a ton of little Kirby memorabilia medals to collect, should you want to extend its play. There's also a sort of Smash Bros. mode included in the game and a rhythm game starring Dedede. There's a bunch of neat animation touches in there, that weren't quite as possible before. For example, when Kirby inhales an enemy and doesn't swallow it immediately, he looks a bit chubbier as he moves about and waddles when he walks. The Nova effect is cool and allows him to suck up things he normally couldn't... think the huge mushroom effect in NSMB, and it's kinda the same effect.
I'd say its worth it, just to bring a smile to your face --but-- if you're choosing either Golf or Kirby, I'd get Golf!

Yeah I am pretty sure I would never get golf.
Guacamelee and Red Dead Redemption get!
Mario Kart 8 is now pre-ordered and paid off. Unfortunately I will be attending a horror convention the weekend it comes out, so I didn't bother with having it shipped to me the day it releases. I'll probably get it around June 3 or 4. So for those of you picking it up on the 30th, use your extra time wisely. You're on borrowed time.
