Yeah, everything is so expensive these days. There are games that I’d pay $80 USD for still. Some I’ll probably wait for a discount or two though.

I only buy a few, a handful of full price boxed games a year.

Most games I buy are indie games between $1 to $13 max? I usually get 4 or more games for a UK £10.

So while AAA games on day 1 are more expensive, there is the other side of the super cheap, great indie games to play.

Ubisoft games drop fairly quickly.

Just saw some direct feed Yakuza 0 switch 2 footage.

Was this ported from ps3 to ps4?

Or was it entirely remade for ps4?

I believe it was released for both the PS3 and the PS4 at the same time. And so the end result was a fantastic looking PS3 game or kind of a mid-looking PS4 game.

Don't let the graphics fool you though. The game is excellent. Best in the series.

Whilst I get the tone dead nature of Randy Pitchfords quote, he's not wrong. If you've been waiting years for the next big installment of your favourite franchise to come out, you will probably scrounge up the extra cash.

True, but I think Randy is overestimating the appetite for more Borderlands.  The series piqued with BL2 and sales reflected that.  BL3 only did 70% of BL2's numbers and was not received well.  BL4 might well see a further decline and it certainly won't sell as much at €80.  As much as he likes to pretend otherwise, it's not that high profile of a game.

Only ever really played Borderlands 2. Had a great time with it but felt I got my fill. Wasn’t really interested in BL3. Think it’s on Game Pass and I have it for PS5 with PSN+ and I still haven’t gotten around to playing it. Certainly not going to buy BL4 for $80 USD.

3 wasn't all that great.  I'll probably get around to 4 in due time, but it'll be when the inevitable 'goty' version hits €20 and I own the hardware to coop it with my bud.

Sega said the Switch 2 version was 4k 60fps. The footage I saw looked like it could run on a Wii U. No anti aliasing at all. It can't be using DLSS in the video Nintendo Life posted. The jaggies are distracting. Game looks fun though.

If 3 didn't sell well, maybe their logic is that they have to spend big on 4 to ensure it's success? The budget is already twice as much as BL3.

So we're paying for the lower sales of 3?

...when I went to scratch off the download code, it took me about 5 minutes to find a coin in this house. Gone are the days when I can just open up a junk drawer or stick my hand in the couch to find a penny or quarter or whatever. Money is a changing.

LOL

You sound Andy Rooney.

You ever notice how you can never find a penny when you actually need one? I mean, I’ve got a drawer full of rubber bands, expired coupons, and at least three mystery keys that don’t open anything—but not a single penny. Not one.

I remember a time when pennies were everywhere. You’d find them in couch cushions, under the car seat, even stuck to the bottom of your shoe. Now? It’s like they’ve gone into hiding. I think they’re unionizing or something.

And don’t get me started on those little coin trays at the store—“Take a penny, leave a penny.” I always leave one, never take one. Now I need one, and suddenly it’s like I’m trying to find a Fabergé egg.

I seem to have pennies everywhere. In my pocket, on my dresser, in the kitchen, the car, in my desk at work. I can't get rid of them. My sister once asked for $20. I didn't have any bills so I offered her a big bin of pennies. She took them to the coin exchange machine at Walmart. LOL

76.  I can't decide if that's considered a good age to go these days or not.  Seems like people in their 70's are still very active now.

What do you guys feel is a good age to go. At what point does 'he was still in his prime' becomes 'he had a good life'?

50+ and you've done okay. I feel like 50 years should be enough for you to do whatever you need to. I gave myself until 30 and failed by about 6 months, but close enough. Everything since has been a bonus! So fifty years is plenty for other people. Nyaa

I hope fifty is not the age to go. I have one more year.

50 years is definitely not enough. Plenty more of gaming years ahead!

If  you managed to achieve all your life goals by 30 and six months, you just weren't ambitious enough when setting said goals.

[nintendo.com]Mario Kart World has the equivalent of 100 tracks At launch nintendo.com

I haven't looked at any of the treehouse playthroughs, but how exactly does a cup in World work?  Do you do one race, then everyone drives orderly to the next and waits till everyone has arrived for the next race to start?  Or is it one long race over 4 tracks and everything inbetween?

Good question.

If you just drive, arrive and wait till everyone is there, what's the motivation to drive quickly between tracks?

Wouldn't it make more sense just to seamlessly cross from open area direct into a race and maintain your position?

Posted some better Yakuza 0 footage in the updates.

About to check out Wild hearts.

I heard it launched badly and EA canned it without giving it time to update. Koei tecmo seem to be trying to revise it.

That hasn't been adressed yet?  I figured you of all people would know all the minutiae  LOL  Not sure if I'd enjoy it if it were one big race.  Anyone who gets ahead of the pack early will be far out for the next 15 minutes, same with those who fall behind.  I find it hard to believe that that is how it'd work.

I think thats how knock out mode works.

Maybe your position you end up in, at the end of the free roaming section determines your pole position for the upcoming race?

Wild hearts S footage is butt ugly. Looks sub-hd.

I hope this is at the stage before they enable DLSS.

Bethesda celebrates 3 million Doom DA players. Media complains it didn't sell well on Steam and PS5 because Game Pass and high price. Game Pass certainly throws a monkey wrench into how people determine the success of a game, lol.
