If Switch 2 has a 120fps screen, Nintendo may be targeting a locked 40fps fidelity mode like in Ratchet & Clank PS5..Hogwarts Legacy also has a 40fps Balanced option that only show up when playing on a 120fps display; this is what I've been using and it looks and feels much better than 30fps. Digital Foundry did a video explaining it:
That's a very good point. I can already hear people moaning about games 'only' being 40fps though.
Kaitlyn Dever got the role of Abbie for season 2 of The Last Of Us. That's a really odd choice. The woman is only 5'2. Same height as the actress who plays Ellie, and actually looks a bit thinner.
I think the first season was at its best when it kept the theme of the source material, but went its own way. But a lot of the reason Abbie is seen to be as formidable as she is was due to her size, or at least how much bigger she was than Ellie. I didn't expect them to find some jacked up pro wrestler, but maybe someone with some height? Maybe they're going to go and do something radically different for season 2. Right now, I am scratching my head a bit.
I used to play miniature golf there (two rounds) every Sunday - I arrived with the staff to avoid paying for parking (why I was so cheap I don't know). At the time they also had a brilliant video game arcade.
It was an incredible place to golf, four different 18 hole courses.
I played some mini golf a few times many years ago in my younger days. Very much enjoyed it.
Unlike regular golf, if you have a bad day on the range you can more easily joke it off as "Well it's just miniature golf!"
I've been playing video game golf since the TRS-80 days (that has to be early 80's) so when I play real golf IT IS SO FRUSTRATING because in my head I know exactly what I should be doing and the results never match up.
In short, to leave my family, but ostensibly for a woman. Moved when I was 16, married at 19, divorced at 21. It fucked me up for a few years, but I stayed in the States as by then I loved the US.
I kept scrolling thinking that I didn't see the correct video. Now I want a Weird Al Mario. Maybe he would be better suited to be Luigi alongside Captain Lou's Mario.
The real question is why did he leave it if it had such great mini-golf courses?
Dreams of starting mini golf franchises down under?
Better quality of life down under is why I moved back -- probably could/should have moved to a more chill place in the States. I was seriously burnt out in my career, it was getting ridiculous.

All I see is Weird AL Mario Hologram.

Why did you move to Cali, Aspro?

Conversation last night with my daughter about a promotional item sent to me when I was in Club Nintendo (you may remember it from this blog post in 2009)

Where did you get that Mario Hat?
It's not a hat, it's an interior accessory.
Where did you get it?
Nintendo
Why?
Because I was a good customer.
Did they make Luigi hats?
No.
Oh.
How do you know about Luigi? [the only mario game she has played was Mario Kart when she was 2]
The movie.
And fun fact? That little bastard is graduating highschool in 5 months.
