Upgraded my Internet today. Went from 100/25 to 500/100.
I played the Anno game that was on the Wii. Unfortunately it didn't really click with me. The controls didn't quite translate to the Wiimote I think.
Sorry guys been busy, I forget to post here. New job is going very well but I still haven't started nights, that will be next week. Working with kids sure is something. Some are great, some don't stand still, you are at the mercy of how good the parents parent. But we have such a good team of techs that it's always manageable. Except I will be alone at night so I've just been prepping for that.
I got PSVR2 it's been great so far. It's not the glorious upgrade in VR I was hoping, if you have quest 2 it's pretty similar. If you only had PSVR1 then it's a much bigger jump. The best part are the games, but not the horizon game... thaf game is the worst parts of VR games in one. It's basically a climbing simulator with some basic ass combat sprinkled around. And it has cool little VR interactions with objects so those new to VR will be wowed but anyone with experience playing various VR games it will be second hat. At least it looks beautiful, incredible graphics.
The stars of PSVR2 are GT7 and RE8, both games I've played but well worth playing again. GT7 plays so much better when you are in the car and can move your head around, cornering is so much easier. The car models are so good, they have the VR showcase so you can walk around every car with crazy attention to detail.
RE8 though is my favorite, this is a real VR adaptation not like RE7 which was just a perspective change. This is like RE4VR with new hand controls, and interactive weapons. Every gun and item is on your person, you can just reach into various spots to pull them out. They maybe put too many guns and items, so many times I reach to my left side to get ammo and instead I pull a map out of my ass, nothing worse than a werewolf coming to eat you and you try to reload a gun with a map. The freedom to use your hands in anyway is so freeing, regular play is boring by comparison. Love it. But not as much as RE4VR, RE8 is too tame and slow in comparison. Can't wait for RE4 remake VR!
Speaking of which tomorrow should be the RE4 demo, can't wait!!!
Yeah, I’m pretty hyped for the Capcom event tomorrow. Probably going to get a demo for Resident Evil 4 Remake. Can’t wait to check that out and then get the full game two weeks after that.
How's your nephew doing now, GG?
Glad the job is going well! How many versions of RE4 have you played?
Vader, great impressions. I was thinking Metroid would make a good VR game.
At night if it's quieter you can play switch at work?
Foolz, nephew has depression. Bros asked us to call him more often to cheer him up.
I'm sorry about your nephew, GG. If something like that ever happened to me I would probably be in a funk for a while. Hoping he will bounce back soon.
Tried out Chorus on the Xbox One and it looked and played exactly like it would natively. No discernible difference at all. It’s a game where you fly around a ship and shoot enemies and what not. Chose that one because I figured response time would be key. Input response was absolutely spot on. Would never be able to tell that I was playing via cloud. Image was spot on as well with all the colours nice and crisp. Need to try some more later on.
Nah, I think they would frown if they ever find me with a portable gaming device at the site. Guess I'll pick up phone gaming lol.
Suicide Squad getting delayed again due to the poor showing at the PS event. Everyone hated it, they are now afraid of the backlash. Seems like an avengers level disaster waiting to happen. Can't believe this is what Rocksteady has taken so many years on, I hope it's good
That's extremely disappointing. I wonder if they were trying to stay too close to the Arkham formula but it just wasn't working with that many protagonists?
I'm babysitting the youngest soon. It was his birthday and he made a list wanting "Ninja Stars (ninja weapons)" is what he wrote. Bought these rubber shuriken but I'm pretty sure these are for adults at dojos. Someone's going to lose an eye, or left ball bag.
Ive decided to work with one earphone in from now on. Made a big difference to my day.
Today while playing Judgement, I beat up a bunch of Yakuza as I stormed a night club, where I came face to face with a billionaire who wanted to hire me to investigate a connection between corrupt government officials and a medical facility that may be lying about a vaccine it's working on.
I also chased and fought another member of the perverted Twisted Trio. This time it was Ass Ketchum, a serial groper who grabs women's butts and then tells them what sport they would excel at.
So my question is do all Yakuza bounce back and forth like this between gritty crime drama and batshit crazy Japanese weirdness??
Not familiar with the franchise myself, only ever finished Like a Dragon. That one had serious stuff along with wacky stuff just like what you mentioned there.
Happy MAR10 day!
RE4 demo!!!
Played for hours yesterday, my first few times, it didn’t feel like RE4. Weighty, slow, enemies didn’t react as I wanted, it all felt off. I was bummed.
But I kept playing and playing and it got used to the new feel and all my RE4 instincts kicked in, guess what it felt right. What’s great is that’s when I noticed why all the little changed happend, the parry to get out of the far more aggressive enemies. The way enemies duck and weave, use better tactics and so on. How to consistently get a melee prompt out of them and so on. There is so much more details and little surprises in this demo then I first thought.
The level of gore and unique animations is astounding. I’ve seen enemies be ripped apart in so many ways. Leon has a ton of unique death animations alone. Presentation wise it’s a killer.
I think there is a big getting used to it phase for lovers of the OG, after that I loved it. I also had the added mess of coming from playing RE4 VR and 8VR, just having the game on a screen was weird to me. For some the controls will never work, but for most keep trying it. I’m glad we have this demo to get used to it cause if this was my first time and I didn’t replay the village a million times I would have been fighting the controls throughout the entire first part of the game and not enjoying it.
Played through it a few times last night and loved it as well. Game looks and plays great. Love the knife parrying stuff. Makes me feel like Casey Ryback from Under Siege.
Only two weeks to go!
Big consternation in Japan as new Tiktok trend is shaking the business model of sushi restaurants where the dishes are rotated past customers on a kind of assembly line. This new trend has a couple of kids going viral with short clips of them licking the food and placing it back on the track. Because of this share prices of these restaurant chains plummited, customers are staying away and some restaurants have had to resort to hiring extra staff to bring orders directly to the tables. The culprits have been apprehended and face some serious punishment
On one hand I can understand the huge financial loss this must bring, on the other hand I can't believe it has taken this long for something like this to happen.
