I was hoping to start Bayonetta 3 on halloween, but the postal delivery guy deemed us to be not home, so I won't be able to go pick it up myself before tomorrow.  Hrm

I did play some Mario & Rabbids Sparks of Hope.  The gameplay is still a lot of fun, but the fact that the Rabbids now talk irks me more than I would have thought.  The voice casting for Rabbid Peach is horrible, and as it's your main healer, you can't just swap her out of the team.  The visuals are very bland too, a huge step back from the original game.  I understand that the scope of this game is much larger than that of the original, with larger open area's, but the cuts are too drastic.  The original had great water effects, grass, etc, and this game looks very, very flat and drab in comparision.  It's almost as if you're playing a GCN game, or at least how those games look in my memory.

Wow, the things I've done in the past two days.

Xenoblade 2 is the best.

There's this blade called Sheba. I had to save 1 million gold which she used to buy a private island. Only to realise she'd been ripped off and we're hot on the trail of a thieving nopon.
Meanwhile she bosses everyone around, calling us peons. And her goal is to create an entourage of the worlds finest belles.

Also stashed a crap load of food for this giant blade. Only to come back to our secret warehouse and find the food burglar had struck 😁

Of course raising the affinity of all these characters to unlock these quests has been somewhat painful.

I remember doing that stuff. Ah, the memories.

Slowly getting through Bayo 3, wish I could play more but it's been tough the last few days. The game amazes me with how much variety it has, something crazy and new every level. So many wild setpieces during the stages, it's relentless. I almost wish it would slow down and let me focus on the extremely deep combat system.

This kickstarter game, Ghost Song, which I supported like 100 years ago (2014) is finally coming out. It's a metroidvania and it's getting great reviews, awesome to see. I'll play it after this run of new games ends.

I'm totally hooked on marvel Snap, so great to be able to get a few games in at any time. And holy shit the depth this game has, after level 30 you play other players and the strategy is nuts.

I think I have 4 legendary blades missing.

Although I've enjoyed (somewhat) the challenge of raising everyone's affinity trees and maxing out their skills. I'm glad they didn't go this route with Xeno 3.

Also stuff like having to have the exact combination of characters engaged (with no one telling you) and where and what time to have them is incredibly wasteful.

You miss out on content because you didn't know that corvin needs to have cooking lvl 4 and 5 affinity levels have to be unlocked; at 7pm, at an exact location.

So I have kind of a fun trick or treat story. I don't know if any of you have seen this, but there's a couple little stories going around about how some families would give children the choice between potatoes or candy on halloween. And surprisingly the potatoes are fairly popular. We decided to give it a try ourselves.

We had just under 100 kids this year visit our house and we gave away a dozen potatoes (none were thrown through our window later that night just in case you were wondering). The kids who chose them were actually very enthusiastic about it. They thought it was great. When we gave away the last potato of the evening, the kid who took it raised his hand up in the air and yelled back to his mom, "look I've got a potato," and then ran back to show her very proudly.

I'm not really sure what to make of any of it. The world of the past few years has completely killed my sense of irony. All I can tell you is that the kids who picked the potatoes seemed happier with it than any piece of candy I've ever given.

I think it was just quirky and cool to receive something different. A lot of these children probably have access to candy at home and it's probably lost its coolness to receive it on Halloween. Plus they know you put the fentanyl inside the potato. Nyaa

I was in Philadelphia yesterday for my naturalization interview. It was at 10:55am so I arrived the day before and stayed in a hotel to avoid any traffic issues. Hotel bed was so hard it had me turning like a tumble dryer. Entering the USCIS building I had to hand the appointment letter to the guard. He seemed very insistent on providing misinformation about how the process works, particularly that once passing the naturalization interview you instantly become a citizen (you don't, you have to wait until your oath ceremony).

Despite these most minor of setbacks, the interview was about as good as possible. It was smooth, simple, and resolved any remaining bureaucratic stumbling blocks. Save for having to upload one other document, I am DONE with paperwork, and just have to wait for my oath ceremony early next year. Then I'll have a vote just in time to watch democracy die in the US Happy

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobile

When I saw that psvr2 price I thought to myself, "well that's a pretty good deal for a bundle." And then I saw that was just for the VR gear. God damn!

I'd congratulate you, but unfortunately you're about to become an American!

Jokes aside, that's great news. Happy
