Really enjoyed it and I'm going back in to see what's left to do.
Feels like a game Ubisoft would have made back when they were cool.
Only thing I can complain about is using a cursor to make dialogue choices. Yeah, fine with a mouse or gyro. Less than perfect with a stick.
It's not a huge problem or anything, just a weird choice.
But also repeated a few old ones.
I'm not sure the hype over different routes means much. Your basically just choosing your transportation methods, in an attempt to see all the narrative scenarios in the game.
It's still good though, enjoying it.

You do see new stuff, but have to replay old stuff and even choosing different options doesn't seem to change much.
Would be better to just put every scene into one full play through of the game.
Saying stupid shit is to give it credibility so people do pay attention. You know what people don't pay attention to? DARPA, NASA, MIT. And they don't say stupid shit! So I would alter your hypothesis from "cover" to "marketing campaign" designed at popularising rather than hiding something. For instance, brain interfaces are nothing new. But now they are new because a dipshit is presenting it as a monkey playing pong.
*Of course, that Elon Musk and other tech fuedal overlords are entirely reliant on government-funded institutions for their careers is ideologically and culturally unacceptable, so part of the marketing campaign is also to hide where all their ideas and work come from...so I think I'm also agreeing with you?
