I've spent my morning with the Final Fantasy 7 remake demo. I have to admit, I'm more impressed than I expected to be. It really is fun to see all these old characters brought back, looking amazing, and actually flushed out. That said, Barrett sounds like Robert Downey Jr in Tropic Thunder. I keep waiting for him to say, "I'm a dude, playing a dude, disguised as another dude."
I was planning on waiting until the series wrapped up before picking up any games in it, or at least waiting until the next generation versions come out. That said, I think I might be impressed enough to go ahead and grab it on PS4 at some point.

I started playing Transistor which I bought heavily discounted on Switch. I'm not feeling it. Then again, I didn't really like Bastion much either, so no big surprise. The chaining mechanism is neat, but it doesn't seem to really expand the combat.
I started Mighty Number 9. I don't think it deserved all the nastiness and hate that it ended up getting, but I suppose if I was a backer for its Kickstarter campaign I probably would have been left disappointed. All things considered, it's an average mega Man game with a couple good ideas, too much story, and a really awful dialogue.

Yeah I picked that up quite some time ago at Walmart for like $10. Tried it out briefly and it really didn’t seem all that bad.
My kid has spring break next week. I wouldn't be surprised if they extend it if things get much worse this week. I mean fuck, they cancelled SXSW. Kind of crazy.
In a move that kind of surprised myself, I started playing Control this weekend, and I'm amazed at how much fun this game is. Very interesting sci-fi theme. Not sure how to describe it. Kind of like Men in Black meets Inception meets The Matrix, And the whole thing was directed by David Lynch. I don't know, there's probably a much better comparison for it, I'm just unaware of it.
Anyway, I'm hooked and will probably be sticking with this for a while.
Yeah can't wait to receive my $10.
Once again the rich company gets away with it.
This RE3 preview is so good, the game sounds amazing. An improvement over the original in every way.

So New York is declaring a state of emergency. I'm hoping this virus doesn't get as bad as predicted.
I'm eagerly anticipating the travel ban on Americans and Italians.
