What does one do to prepare for a hurricane anyhow? Tie down the car and take down any wind chimes one might have?
As far as prep goes, the general rule is bringing anything from outside that's loose. Potted plants, lawn chairs, anything like that. If you have enough of a warning, make sure trees are trimmed. Have enough food and bottled water to get you through 3 days of no electricity, and possibly charcoal or propane so that you can cook. Get a full tank of gas, get batteries. And for those people who have carpenter skills, a lot of people will actually put plywood over their windows to prevent anything from flying through them.
You bought a twelve pack instead of a six?
Living in the Bahamas is kind of like living directly next to a nuclear power plant. You're just asking for trouble.
Very true. The wife and I are starting some very early conversations about retirement. 2 years ago we went to the Virgin islands and last winter we went to the Florida keys, and the idea of retiring somewhere in the Caribbean was looking really good.
Then you have weeks like this that remind you, that no, it's not a good idea at all.
So what's expected for todays N.Direct?
Some rumoured some already confirmed
What do you expect?
This story is quite interesting
Virtuos VP says partners are reaching out to them to create Switch titles featuring "some of the most beloved IP in our industry"
It sounds like Wii like spin offs on popular franchises, which I wouldn't mind as long as they were interesting enough.
Astral Chain is phenomenal. If you’re letting the investigation sections put you off, that’s too bad. They’re fun and interesting and compliment the super-nuanced combat sequences very well. It truly is among this year’s best!
They're great places to visit for sure. But to settle down...not so much.
What you want is a nice area with good soil to grow on, where there's a distinct lack of natural disasters. Of course no matter where you are, there's always a chance of something. But you can really limit those chances depending on the region.
Bah. Missed out on the first 10 minutes of the Direct because our national Nintendo website's own stream wasn't working.
Tokio Mirage Sessions for Switch. I still have the LE for WiiU sitting unopened on my shelf...

Dauntless, the poor man's MonHun headed to Switch.
AC too.
Assassin's Creed that was.
Animal Crossing looking good as well. featuring NookPhoneTM. Up to 8 player simultaneous online play.
Last game of the show is...
drumroll!
Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive edition. Liked that enough that I might actually want to play that again. While not finishing XBX.
Unless those first 10 minutes were absolutely, mindblowingly awesome, I think I'm a bit disappointed in the showing.
Really good Direct. That Terry Bogard reveal trailer was awesome. Great to see Xenoblade Chronicles getting a Definitive Edition on the Switch.
Very nice to see SNES games hitting the Switch Online and it’s definitely a very solid list of games.
