Oh shit, I just bought another house.  I’m super excited and on the verge of having a heart attack at the same time.

He's on the verge of having a heart attack, so I can only assume it's a charnel house?

The Travo home home.  We’ve outgrown this house and the schools are slightly better.

I'm fucking stoked! I finally figured out how to run Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines on my goddamn PC!!!

I've been wanting to play this game pretty much forever, but could never get it to run. It definitely just jumped up in my what-to-play-next list. Was watching Razorfist play it the other day & it looked so awesome I was determined to get this shit working.

I can't believe they didn't release this on the Xbox back in the day. A missed opportunity.

Just trying to think about how I can put what I want to say into a proper perspective...

Ah! I got it!

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is the Ocarina of Time of the FE Series. It is quite easily the best of the FE games so far. It's characters and story are the most developed of the series. The gameplay and graphics are the most refined. It is also probably one of my favorite games on the Switch, if not THE favorite game. Even though it loses some of the key features of the last few (Marriages, Kids of the Characters), what it does, it does sooo well... It is an ABSOLUTE must play!

I'm about 45 hours into the Golden Deer storyline on the verge of a major turning point of the game and I cannot think of a single moment where I wasn't completely engaged, engrossed and eager to see what came next. I am playing it on Hard and Casual, meaning the strategy is Challenging but my characters can't perma-die and I don't think I've ever enjoyed a strategy game as much as this one!

I've seen you playing it a lot in my friends list.  I've never played a FE game before.  At the moment I'm content to play a succession of shorter Indie games.  I find that I have less and less patience for big epic games with elaborate stories.  I don't mind sinking 100+ hours in something like Monster Hunter, but a game like that is all about gameplay, the story is just an aside.

Hey all. I alwasy assumed tha the foxkids.com Micro Maniacs was a licenced game (based on the foxkids.com reference).  But all my research indicates it is an original IP.

Anyone know anything about this that the internet does not know?

Any interest in Redemption if you haven't played it?

I've been playing the Dragonquest 11 demo on switch. I'm well over an hour in and it's still going. Nice visuals love the art style. The outdoor areas don't look as good as the indoor or town areas. Story and voice acting so far is very... um childish and simple? Maybe it's the English dub but it sounds like a children's BBC bedtime story. The battles are okay I guess I seem to have enabled an auto battle option so they do it by themselves. There are so many monsters in the open world but they are so easy to avoid I don't see how I'm going to level up for bigger boss fights. BOTW has kinda ruined some of these open world games. It just feels like set decoration. There's not much interactivity here and it looks worryingly like what Pokemon swords open world might be like. Still it's not a bad game so far it still has time to win me over. One annoying thing is the CONSTANT orchestral music.

I haven't played either one. Redemption actually works without any tinkering on my PC, even though it's the older game I believe correct? I've had them both in my library for a long time but I actually forgot there were two different games in the series. From what I understand, they're both completely different styles? Anyway, I do want to check them both out once I get around to it.

Yeah, Redemption works but without a patch for the resolution the aspect ratio doesn't fit 16:9. Redemption is sort of Diablo-y from the tiny bit I've played it, and it's also set in the middleages. I think the stories are still related, though; what with the longevity of vampires and all!
