Possibly.  Going back to the N64 Turoks is very difficult, though I'll give it a try later on (as in 30 years from now when I've beathen all other games).  I quite enjoyed the 360-era reboot.  It was dumb fun with some nice knife action.  I think I played almost in one elongated sitting the same weekend I did the reboot of Area 51 in a similar manner.

Project64 and an Xbox controller is the only way I can play N64 games anymore. Makes a HUGE difference.

That's a lot of work compared to just turning on my N64! But I respect that you are so interested in game history that you play as many as you do. How do you have the time?

Ive been editing and working on all the stuff you have to do to upload and package a podcast -- I just realized I've been listening to 50 Cent's In Da Club on loop for about 70 minutes Nyaa

It's been 16 years already!

Go, go, go, go go, go, go, shawty

It's your birthday

We gon' party like it's yo birthday

We gon' sip Bacardi like it's your birthday

And you know we don't give a fuck

It's not your birthday!

You can find me in the club, bottle full of bub

Look mami I got the X if you into taking drugs

I'm into having sex, I ain't into making love

So come give me a hug if you into to getting rubbed

You can find me in the club, bottle full of bub

Look mami I got the X if you into taking drugs

I'm into having sex, I ain't into making love

So come give me a hug if you into to getting rubbed

When I pull out up front, you see the Benz on dubs

I sensed a GU podcast was near.  It was foretold that he who relieves pain would appear to herald it's coming, for he is as the lightning to the podcasts thunder.

Since my wife has devised a new ploy to keep me away from my Ultimate Game Pass subscription during my holiday, namely declaring we're going sailing with the kids for a couple of days, I'm contemplating getting a new game on Switch to ride me over.

Has anyone here played either Little Nightmares or Unruly Heroes? They're both high on my list to play one day. The first is a Tim burtonesque horror puzzle platformer, while the second is a beautifully animated side scrolling beatemup by some of the talent that made the new Rayman games and built in the same engine.

I was checking the main ability up Splatoon 2 guide. Some of the most powerful spammers like the duelies and splooshomatics groups get 20% damage bumps 🙄.

It's really not though. You just download the emulator, select the Xbox pad as your input device, tweak a few settings and that's it. Then all you have to do is make sure the game files are stored in the emulator folder & it finds them and boots them instantly. The main advantages are that you get dual stick controls that work surprisingly well & totally erases that disadvantage the N64 always had for shooters and camera systems. And also you gain the ability to quick save and quick load whenever you want, bypassing the checkpoint system most games had.

I really don't play that many old games. Every once in a while I'll play something like this. 95% of the time I'm playing on PS4, bits & pieces of a million different things. I only started messing with Turok 3 because I had never played it & that Digital Foundry Turok video got me inspired to check it out.

Have you guys played the last few splatfests? They decorate the plaza and have special music and title screens. Some of this stuff with never be seen again. At the moment it's Chaos vs Order and one side of the plaza looks like Mad Max with ripped and frayed banners with Pearls face.

Hey GG, just saw your name scroll by on the 'newsfeed' in Splatoon2 where it states who won what games. Keep up the good fight!

Ugh, stage selection is heavily skewed towards the shifty station, and I'm not liking the design... Too much focus on frantically fighting over the killer whail.

Did you get to play the special Pearl and special Marina stages? They're insane. The uber killer wail is amazing.

It's in the bottom left corner when you're waiting to get matched against another team.

Yeah, I played the stage. At first it was frustrating because I didn't know what triggered the killer wail and it can turn the tide of every single match. After I 'got it' it was still fustrating to see that more often than not, my teammates didn't have a clue and we'd still lose. The stage is too much a one trick pony to my liking.

NOOOOOOO!

Curse you, deciples of Chaos!

Hrm

Order predictably lost the Splatocalips. But hey, at least 'our' Marina is still clearly the hottest one. 👍🏻

The BotW DLC is also discounted. For those of you who played it: is it any good?

Played a little Monster Hunter and about 15 minutes of Twilight Princess. Most of the weekend has been spent just being sick and miserable. I'm probably the only person in the State of Florida who is freezing his ass off right now.
