I started up Twilight Princess this weekend. Just got through the tutorials, wolf mode, and going into the forest temple.

I just beat Onimusha Remastered.

Man this is a short game....less than 5 hours? Shorter than I remember. First time playing through it since like 2002, & likely the last time. It's an interesting game, going back to it now. If you remember, it was really one of the first actual significant games released on the PS2, which had a terrible start software wise. And it was a period of time where developers were trying to figure out how to go from PS1/N64/Saturn design, to something "next gen". Onimusha in particular came out about 6 months after the PS2 hit...which is when it started to quickly turn things around. As such, this game really feels like some odd in between experiment of Resident Evil & Devil May Cry, the latter of which would come out about 6 months after Onimusha. Though it's not as good as either, it definitely has elements of both. But it couldn't decide if it wanted to be a horror game like RE or an action game like DMC.

Still cool to play this again, as it does have some cool moments & solid game play. It was a transition game between generations at a time when generations actually meant big changes. You can really tell it was rushed out as well, just to get a big gme out on the PS2. Like I said, about 5 hours long, & the end of the game has a lot of stuff crammed in there like they were just trying to get it shippable.

I really hope they plan on bringing the rest of them back also, because it would be kind of cheesy to only remaster the first (and worst) game in the series.

Finished Minerva's Den and the Protector Trials. The story in Gone Home was better, tbh. But protecting Little Sisters is still the best part of any of the Bioshocks, and the environmental design was definitely up to the standards in Fullbright games.

I may do the bonus trials, if only to further delay my playing of Devil May Cry 3.

In news related items, that TG-16 game list is really strong. Cadash, Fantasy Zone, Rondo of Blood, Bonk's Revenge, etc. Coming from Konami these days I'm kind of surprised. At $100 it's still a little too high I think, but at $75 I could give this a go.

I’ve never played a TG-16.  I don’t believe I even know someone who owned it.

I had a TG-16 back in the day and played a few cool games for like Bonk, Legendary Axe, a Ninja game that I can’t recall, and a few others. I’m quite interested in getting that TG-16 Mini when it comes out.

Replacement comp has the old ver of Windows 10. It's taking forever to download the spring 19 update. An hour did 1%.
FFS. Can barely use the Internet on it.

I've started Mutant Year Zero, a supposedly indy take on a post apocalyptic Xcom. It's enjoyable so far, although I dislike the top down camera placement. I understand it's a genre trope, but I'm finding it to be very claustrophobic. Since we're away for a couple of days I've been playing a lot ot Tetris99 on Switch. I managed to come in second, improving my top ranking and have just started playing Splatoon2 again. I suck at it all over again. Always very puzzling how it seems to take me 2 seconds to kill someone while I can be splatted in what seems to be a tenth of a second to me. This game's lag is so much worse than the original's it's ridiculous. Whether or not the inevitable third game improves on the lag could really impact my decision to buy the game or skip it.

I wanted a TG-16, especially the Turboduo, back in the day. Unfortunately, limited $$$ kept me from getting one; all of my gaming funds went to the SNES, Genesis and Sega CD. I'll definitely get a TG-16 mini if I can find one next year.

The analog stick on my left joycon seems to have developed a drifting issue. The stick itself seems straight however it tends to want to register the up motion. I can still manage well enough to it but it can be a bit annoying at times.

Mine is the same except downward motion.  I’m hoping to replace it soon.

3 of my 4 joycon have issues. 2 sticks that drift and one shoulder button that isn't responding anymore...
