My brother has an infection. Past few days has been a bit nuts, dashing about doing errands and looking after kids. Picking up medication and taking him to the doctor.
Christmas is off apparently, didn't get presents for the boys. The middle child who I got a phone for has apparently been using the ipad to talk to strangers, so he can't have the phone and their ipad is locked away.
He's okay, just recovering on some strong antibiotics. Thanks guys, Merry Christmas to you guys.
I tried to ignore Christmas this year but just went out on a mad dash for presents for the nephews. Picked up a giant dinosaur, a doll set and a shirt. I also found this which I am keeping for myself:
They are too young to even know about Empire.
My dad asked for a bag of dried tropical fruit for Christmas, and a cake.
So, what lameass presents did your fathers/parents ask for?

And funny story about kids talking to strangers on the internet, many years ago when we got our daughter her first computer we installed instant messenger on it so she could talk to friends, but the very first rule we set up was no talking to strangers. naturally we needed to test if this would work and had a friend of ours message her. Within minutes they were in a very lengthy conversation where she had already started to give up some personal information including our phone number.
So the next day I asked an old guy at work to call her up and pretend to be the guy she chatted with. It put the fear of God into her then she began to use the internet responsibly for almost a record-breaking three and a half weeks afterwards.
