I just noticed they have all the Banner Saga games in one package now. Might have to pick that up, been wanting to check them out for ages.
Noticed it's also on the Switch for you guys who prefer it. I gotta say, the Switch has a really good stable of RPG's at this point. Not just exclusives, but just in general. Seems like it already has way more quality RPG's than the Wii U ever got. Xenoblade 2, Banner Saga Trilogy, Y's 8, South Park, Octopath..etc. Also Fire Emblem on the way. Not too shabby.
I started really getting into Dante's Inferno on the PS3 last night, RIP Visceral Games.
Man, is this game a total God of War clone.
But like I always say, if you're going to rip something off, do it well. And they did. It feels like God of War in hell. Pretty good stuff. It holds up well production wise too. Supposedly it's short, so maybe I can get it done today.
My son is playing Family Ski & Snowboard on the Wii as I'm writing this. Now that's a game that could shine with a new installment on the Switch. The motion controls are still there, and being set on a huge mountain with lots of people and large draw distance, the game could really benefit from a higher resolution. Man, those games were fun and relaxing...
that was one of my favorite games on the Wii. I remember getting a lot of crap for actually liking it back in the Gamespot days I believe. It was a great use of the balance board and with the motion controls it really felt like a immersive arcade experience. I may have to track down a copy of it one of these days, but it's pretty tough to find.
Went and saw Testament and Anthrax last night in Providence. Nothing like two legendary, still-awesome old school thrash metal bands together. Testament is my favorite of the two, but they both put on an incredible show. Anthrax was the headliner, and they closed the show with a cover of Pantera's "Cowboys From Hell". The place went apeshit. I'm a little hurting today...can't recover from a night out of drinking as fast as I used to. But damn was it worth it.
That sounds fun. I always like anthrax. They were basically just a bunch of Geeks who could thrash.
Good lord Nintendo. Could have made the controller cord for the NES Classic any shorter?
It think it was part of their master plan to fully emulate the experience we had as kids when we sat as close to the TV as possible as we played. Extensions for the controller are available if I'm not mistaken.

I bought an extension cable 2 pack a while back for $10 on Amazon, and They work perfectly. I also recommend the 8bitdo wireless SNES controllers work great as well, and you can go back to the main menu by holding down on the dpad and hitting the Select button (a feature Nintendo should have thought of, IMO). An NES version is coming out soon too.

No doubt. I may have to look into getting one of those if possible because the shortness of the cord is ridiculous. Still had a good time revisiting Bubble Bobble. It felt like I never stopped playing it.

Has anyone here played Yoku's Island express? It's a relatively new sidescrolling platformer/pinball hybrid. There's a demo out now and it's pretty fun. I'll probably pick this up a bit further down the line, ones I have beaten XC2.

I rather enjoyed Dante’s Inferno myself, found it to be a pretty fun action game.

Awesome. Will get me one of those myself.
The earliest finished games thread I can find is from 2011. Anyone remember if this tradition began earlier?

I think that was the start....I have 2012 and up linked in my browser just for remembrance purposes. Can you link me the 2011 one?
Sure, here it is in all its glory.
