I kind of agree with him, although I disapprove of the tone.  It's all well and good to ask for equal pay, but how about equal rights?  Women here get 3 months of paid leave after giving birth (if they're employees), even more depending on the sector they work in.  I get 10 days (were I an employee).  And how about part time work?  I don't think it's wrong for someone who dedicates 5 days a week of his time to his work to earn more than someone who only works 4 days or less.

The title of the article is highly misguiding as well, as women aren't paid only a third for equal work, they just don't work in the highest ranks, meaning that on average the gap is indeed that large.  Still, they get paid about a third less for equal work, and that's just not right.

The reports were a little misleading in that they were analysing the pay of men in each company compared to women as a whole - disregarding that the men in higher paid positions were being paid more, for being in higher paid, senior positions. It wasn't a case of same job - different pay.
