The most frequent problem I have heard with the Wii U pad is usually related to an increase latency between the pad and console. I don't think that affects a huge percentage of users, but there are also other problems that affect small groups of users. And when I look at everyone I have known who has had a problem versus how many people who have owned a Wii U I see a good percentage of users affected by some kind of issue. Just looking at our little group here me, Travo and SupremeAC all had issues within 5 years.
Anyway, those are just my observations with what I have seen. Not based in any hard fact. but that is just what I have seen, and I have certainly heard a lot of other people talk about problems they have their console. It just makes me think that in a few more years a fully functioning Wii U will be a little difficult to find.
Well gentlemen, since getting a PS4 Pro I've gone hard and deep into that....replayed Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Great game. Not as good as Human Revolution, idk why there's just something a little missing in the delivery in this one. But still a great game nonetheless. I'm in the middle of finishing up the DLC stories right now which range from bland to really good.
Starting messing with Final Fantasy 15 again. I really love this game. While it's different from the old games, they managed to bring back the feeling of the older PS1 titles somehow. I think it's because of how tight your party is. That's something I always felt in the older titles was that "us against the world" vibe.
In the middle of Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow HD on the PS3. Forgot how good this one was. Actually a big improvement over the first game. Visuals still look great. Also in the middle of Yakuza 5 on the PS3, which is typical Yakuza awesomeness.
Got back to a bit of Mario Odyssey...made it up to the Lake level. Really great stuff, but it doesn't blow me away...at least yet. Mario has always been so good that I just feel like it's typical Mario here. Nothing unexpected. I thought it would remind me more of Mario Sunshine, but so far it feels more like the Galaxy games.
Also messed around with a little of the PS4 version of Prey. I heard this version had issues but maybe it was fixed...I haven't noticed anything. Only thing I don't like in this version is not being able to change the FOV. That spoils me in many PC games. Love to pull the camera back so I can see more.
I need to get back to World of Final Fantasy and Breath of the Wild.
I haven’t had any issues with my Wii U yet however I did get it later on in its lifetime so maybe that has something to do with it. I still have a few more games that I’d like to finish for it before I pack it away.

To be fair, the issues I had are because of accidentally knocked the U off the entertainment center while dusting. It became a download only machine from then on. I actually got another Wii U to replace it for free. My father in law passed away over a year ago and we discovered he actually owned one too.

Well yes, I suppose that is something entirely different. However, If that was a GameCube you could have dropped it off a 3 story building and it would have only had a small scratch.

My friend had his GCN in his locker when we were in highschool. It fell out of his locker and broke. Though I think he said that was the 2nd time he dropped it. I think he said it fell down the steps before that. The fall in the locker would've been 6' which is 1.83 m.

Sometimes it matters how something falls, what angle, where it hits etc. Just like how a person can snap their leg because they landed at a slightly odd angle.
^ At two and a half minutes in, the real gameplay kicks in. I must say it has me popping wood! Looks like a mix of Dragon Quest and Nier Automata. Cool to see them branching out into different genres. Also, the guy who does the music is a legend from the PS1 FF days, who also worked on Lost Odyssey and The Last Story.
Wow it looks great and the music really is good. Sounds like Nobu (or whatever his name is) has scored something that is up to par with those old Final Fantasy classics.
Gameplay doesn't really do much for me, but it's tough to get excited just watching any jRPG combat. Any rate it looks like it's worth keeping an eye on.
Early on in life my U froze up a few times. Since they patched it, it has worked near flawlessly. There was one occasion where the pad wouldn't communicate with the console, but turning both on and off again fixed it.

I forgot to tell everyone what I've been playing.

What is this? A new RPG for the PS4 being co-developed by Platinum Games?

Joy! Now all I have to do is sit here and wait another 8 months for it to release on PC.
