Wow more Nintendo fuckery. So the system comes with the joy con grip to make it a fake controller. The grip that comes with the console does not charge the joy con meaning the only way to charge it is to dock it with the switch itself so if it needs to charge you can't play on the TV with the joy cons. Nintendo is selling a separate charging grip for $30 to allow charging as you play.
Now this isn't much an issue because they say the controllers have a 20 hour battery life, so dock them when you finish playing and it should never be an issue. Still its kind of shady
Thanks for the offer but I think that I'll just pick it up here anyway.
As the site's foremost authority on hand-held Nintendo portables, it should mean a lot when I look at The Switch and say...
"Meh."
Only thing that's gonna be Switch-ing is Nintendo... from Hardware company to third-party software developer.
OMG they killed passionate Leo. That's how bad this was.
It's literally the same shit as Wii U. Poor storage, high price, no games, lots of gimmicks, useless online. They learned absolutely nothing this past generation.
Yup, same shit, very disappointing. But they still make zelda and Mario so whatever, they have me.
This year will see me switch away from consoles, and upgrading my PC instead.
On the Treehouse they said that the joy cons charge automatically when they are attached to the tablet. Playing offscreen.
I guess when playing offscreen and the charge runs low you can plug it in and it will charge the Switch and the joycons at the same time. Docked - I guess if you leave the joycons docked overnight it will have a full charge for 20 hours each time in the morning. So unless you play for more than 20 hrs a day - docked - it won't be a problem?
A lot of the games for Switch look great.
The only thing I think looks terrible is 1,2, Switch and that is because I don't understand it.
They haven't really stated what that game actually is suppose to be.
Arms looks good but I hate the name.
I don't see why people are so negative about the presentation it looked great.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
UK Nintendo Switch Launch Lineup
It's the same lineup as Wii U year so into its life. No normal console lineup look so like that. A normal console has like 30 games a month not a year.
Got my zelda SE preordered at BB! Go to the website they have some!
Will Zelda Wii U will be out on March 3rd too?
Super Bomberman R, Snipper Clips, and Has-Been Heroes looks awesome.
Skyrim should really be at launch. It is almost 6 years old and they recently released the remastered version on PS4, Xbox One, and PC this past October.
With Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at least it looks like they fixed Battle Mode based on what was shown in the Treehouse Livestream so that should be enough of a reason to get that game.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
Yeah that's why they have me as well. You can also add the Xenoblade games well as those have basically become a Nintendo system staple game too. I'm getting the system but I can't see it doing much better then the GameCube. Nintendo would also be very wise to keep their dedicated handheld division going as well with the 3DS and a successor to that for the true and more easily portable experience.
They cancelled it.
Super Mario Odyssey
THIS.
Oh,well.
