We'll see....whomever they would play from the NFC is going to be tough. They should at least GET to the SB though...huge letdown if they don't. The AFC sucks.

So anyway, about that link I posted at the weekend regarding Switch specs. It doesn't mean that it will be more or less powerful than what has already been stated. But it frames the clockspeeds and what they are using in a different light. Most people after reading the DF article assumed Nintendo was gutting an X1 and making it worse and complained about how they were cheapening out etc.

It appears that is not the case, this is literally about the most powerful design they could fit into their thermal envelope. So when a GAF guy tested the shield TV, he found that its 1ghz GPU only lasted a few minutes and that it quickly throttled itself down.

Down to........ the clocks that were specified in that Switch article. Actually below that - the docked Switch runs about 25% better than that. Which explains why they had an internal fan in the dev kits. That clock speed is literally the highest it can go reliably without throttling back and forth. It was also found that that the CPU speed was the right speed to get the most out of the GPU. They guy found out that the higher the CPU clocked to, the more the GPU throttled itself.

So yeah, interesting stuff.

The Nvidia CEO says Switch will blow people away because he's making money on it. I clearly remember him making fun of the weak hardware of the Xbone and PS4 compared to Nvidia's PC chips because he WASN'T making money on them.
