Yep, love that movie. Especially the first half.
So for $600, the GTX 1080 is supposedly faster than two GTX 980's, or one GTX Titan. They also run much more stable and efficiently. 8gb of DDR5 memory built in. Card is a beast.
the GTX 1070 is the cheaper card at $400 but even that one is supposedly better than a Titan.

Insane value. This will really help push VR.
Yeah I should have waited.
I call bullshit on this. There's always something better around the corner, so waiting for THE best deal makes no sense.
This weekend, I played a ton of The Last of Us multiplayer. I'm still in love with it!
This is this is not like other years, this is the start of a new generation of cards that will last for a few years.
Come and Get Your Love! Reminds me of Guardians of the Galaxy.
Played a ton of:
...and most of the way through:
Been playing some Affordable Space Adventures. I assume this game really was made for a two player team, because while it is interesting and did a great job of utilizing the Wii U pad, playing solo is about as exciting as watching paint dry.
Also been playing Twilight Princess Picross, which is still awesome.
Not entirely. PC component prices drop notably once a new card is avaliable. There are also "generational standards" that games are geared to that it is best to wait for. For example the ye olde 8800GT was supported by most high end games until a year and a half ago. However, something that preceeded that by a year. However previous generation GPUs were outdated long before that. I learned this the hardware as I built my first PC ten years ago and while it was cutting edge it mostly focused on non-future proof parts (high clocked AMD X2 CPU, GPU with high memory and mediocre speed, etc.). My first PC built in 2006 was too weak to run a fair share of games properly in less than three years. The comptuer I built after it could have comfortably lasted me four years. My current build is based off of a year and half old GPU and computer part from 2011. The computer can still run any game on high settings at 1080p. I ran The Witcher III at 4K at a higher framerate than the console counterparts. In short don't feel the need to wait an extra two years something bigger and better. But if its less than a year away it is best to wait and see.
One of the site's forefathers.
I've been playing Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, and lots of it. This game is soooooooo much fun, I love it. Love all the different characters and their various abilities.
I need to get back to the demo.
Only good through the 10th!
