Ehh, mobile games don't have to be bad. I have the Sonic CD mobile port and it is good. Terra Battle is enjoyable. Sega released Heroki which is very good.

Just read that NX rumor page. I really liked the sound of everything UNTIL that part about being compared to Xbox One's power. So, three years after PS4 and they're not going to at least match it? I know Xbone isn't that far behind the PS4, but still. PS4's bit of extra power HAS enabled better ports. And cmon, a new console should be a step ahead of them both.
If that's true though, I still don't see Nintendo making waves in terms of 3rd-party content. At least not in any kind of way that you see from the other guys. Unless they plan on abandoning the NX as soon as PS5 hits to keep up. Otherwise, its going to be MAYBE a few decent years of 3rd-party stuff until PS5 hits, then NX quickly getting dropped for the next gen. At which point, it will be the Nintendo only console again.

NX is going to have completely new features so there has to be a sacrifice somewhere unless you want it to be super expensive. Matching XB1 will be pretty good if it has some hardware USP, third parties will be able to easily port games. We also don't know how long the PS4 and XB1 generation is going to last for.
I DO want it to be super expensive. I'd rather pay, say, $400 for NX now and have it more future proof. But like you said, we don't know how long they'll last. I don't see them lasting anywhere near as long as the 360 gen though. Say Sony or MS come out with a new machine in 2 or 3 years (you know once one of them does the other will too) is Nintendo going to drop the NX in 3 years to keep up? No way, unless its a total flop.
But if NX is some sort of hybrid handheld concept it might not neccesarily run along traditional hardware cycles. I imagine that the damned thing might even work with Android/iOS/tablet games too. As you said if it is selling well they wont replace it after 3 years. But is that a bad thing? What if Nintendo stuck to its own cycles and released in the middle of everybody elses generation. I can see pluses and negatives to the situation.
If it's going to be a mainly portable unit, with Xbone like capabilities, it'll need to cost upwards of $800. It's not going to happen.
I'd rather they just made a normal console BUT it had to work with Wii U pads too. I use that thing so much, it's become indispensible. Giving up all its features will feel like stepping back in time.
The console part should be backwards compatible with U, Wii and Gamecube and one should be able to use the U pad, at least 8 though preferably 12 Wii-motes, and an equal number of gamecube controllers. All previous Nintendo consoles should be supported via Virtual Console.
The handheld part should take 3DS, DS and GBA cartridges. All previous Nintendo handhelds (including Virtual Boy) will be supported via Virtual Console - no screw that, it should be able to take every Nintendo cartridge.
The system should have at least 2.6 times the power of the One, or 1.8 times that of PS4 but it must be white and look identical to the Wii and Wii U in both shape and size.
Its name shall be Y Wii U. Or... Y U Wii X. I'm not sure about this last bit yet.

As long as the console version of the NX is more powerful than the PS4 I'll be happy IF the price is reasonable.

If the NX is on par with the Xbox One then that'll be good enough for me considering of the type of controller it will have and that they'll likely want to sell it for $399 or less this seems reasonable. I think that it will be fully backwards compatible with Wii and Wii U. Not sure if it will have a port for handheld cartridges but that would certainly be nice.
MS wants to do a phone/ PC upgrade model with Xbox. They want yearly console upgrades. Fuck them, trying to fuck over console gaming again. If I wanted the hassle of yearly upgrades I would buy a PC!!!

12 new characters (for the most part) and 28 variations on those characters. Could have also called it Ultimate Mortal Kombat X!
Edit: From what I understand, they also worked in a couple of surprises too, like new Stage Fatalities and such!
