I've been playing Neverwinter on the Xbox One. I never really played these MMORPGs before and I'm rather enjoying it plus it's free to play. I think I might be getting hooked. I may need an intervention.
Also been playing Resident Evil: Revelations 2. Finished the campaign a couple of days ago, got the bad ending. Still need to play the extra chapters and more Raid mode which is quite enjoyable. Pretty decent game considering the buget.
Played more Dragon Age: Inquisition this weekend. I mainly just play it for the mp weekend events right now.
Started playing Dragon Quest I on the iPad and it's a decent port. Walking around can be a bit tricky but the rest is good.
i take back what I said about Smash U's online. It's fucking shit. I just played a round wherein the lag was so bad that it was completely unplayable, and even locked up the game. So I turned off the console. Now it tells me I'm not allowed play for 10 minutes as punishment. Fuck you, Nintendo. Why is it Mario Kart 8 works beautifully online, but none of your Smash games do? What a fucking joke. I'm really starting to reget buying it.
That sucks. Yeah I have a great time with MK8 online and have had some pretty laggy matches with Smash. I've also had some really good matches as well. Hopefully you'll get some too, try to stick with it a bit longer.

I wish there was an option in Smash like MK8 has to select between Region and Worldwide online. Smash only has one option:Worldwide, which I think is the problem. The MK team should do the online component for Smash games.
I've played for several hours, at different times of day, for the last two days, and every single online match has been noticably laggy. Most have been playable, but certainly not ideal. Some have been so bad that the systems looks like it has locked up. It's the same issue I had with Brawl. The only improvement I see in Smash U is finding people to play with is significantly faster than in Brawl. but the lag kills it.
I'll prolly sell my copy soon, but I would advise you to check out the many, many extras that the game has to offer.
Thing is, I have never enjoyed SP Smash or its extra modes. I bought it to play random online matches, just like how I've been playing MK8 for 10 months now. I was under the impression that Smash U's online was significantly improved; I'm not seeing it. Maybe this weekend is just a flute or something, and it'll work better next week. I'll have to wait and see. It's just very disappointing is all.

Are you playing primarily the "For Fun" battles? That's typically where people with shitty connections play. I run into some shlub with a bad connection in the For Glory matches, but for the most part I never have a bad experience with the connections.

Yeah, I've been playng only the For Fun battles, because I suck at the game, and figured that would be the best place to start. I'll try the ranked mode later tonight, and see if it's better. Thanks for the suggestion, Robio.
I jumped into the second one right away. Combat is like night and day, this one is far more enjoyable. Let's see if other things I didn't like from the first one were equally improved.
So I just played a bunch of For Glory online battles in Smash. What a night and day difference in performance! I must have played 15-20 rounds, and I only saw any noticable lag once! And that did not negatively affect the gameplay. How For Fun can be such complete shit, and For Glory be so awesome performance-wise is shocking. Thanks again, Robio! You saved this game from being forever shelved or sold. I actually had a lot of fun playing it tonight, even though I lost every single match.

Yeah come to think of it I think that was like that for me as well.

I think the 2nd game is vastly superior. Not in level design maybe, but in every other way.
Not good enough for Vader, but perhaps #3 will be.

I kept playing some more. Everything seems better, I actually care now about the characters and their motivation. I care about the story! (I didn't give a shit about anyone, including Geralt, during my 50+ hours with the first one, here I'm gasping with each plot surprise).

I don't recall having many laggy matches.

I'm crossing my fingers that my ps4 arrives tomorrow. I will more likely rent Bloodborne.
Well then, let's trade ours in together!

Almost finished Bayonetta 2:
