Lost track. Just finished the Arbiter's Grounds and had the big Ganon "reveal" cutscene. Been futzing around Hyrule looking for Poe's and Bugs for Agitha before getting to the Mirror Dungeons. Is this an exceptionally long Zelda, or is it just me?
Well, I finally finished W101 demo. The problem I was having getting stuck was after the bridge with the tanks is destoryed, and you do the jump to the other side. I would then intentionally jump off the bridge because there are some items down there under the bridge, and I couldn't get back out again. I got stuck a fourth time doing that. My fifth attempt, I didn't jump down there, and completed it fine. I'm sure there is a way out of that area, but I sure as hell haven't found it.
They went with the patch because it is far cheaper than producing a second disk, and they want to slowly wean people into buying games digitally. Welcome the slow death of retail packaging.
Microsoft needs to save a few bucks after spending 2 billion on minecraft.
Posting on my phone so I can't do snazzy pics, but I've been playing Halo Reach in preparation for the Collection.
Finished Alien which was great loved it.
Also balls deep in The Evil Within & Skyrim....as well as finishing The Walking Dead PS4 Edition.
Been playing it on my PC, through my Surface Pro2 and Steam in-home streaming I can't start to describe the feeling I get from playing a good, old-school 3D platformer. The graphics, the sound effects,... Ah, pure weltschmerz.
Yeah, I agree that it would have been a natural fit for the GC.
The PC port is ok, although there are issues with how the dialogue plays out. All button prompts are for the keyboard as well, even when playing with an X360 controller. I don't agree with the button layout either. I've played for 5 hours now, and I'll still press the wrong buttons from time to time.
It's a good psychological survivor horror game (and another reminder that I don't hate all indie games). It's not too hard to figure out what's going on, but once you do it only makes the game more uncomfortable to play and that's why I find it so interesting. It's gotten to the point where I don't want to play it because it makes me so uncomfortable.
^For those of us who don't intend to play the game, care to elaborate on the story? You don't often come by something that's unsettling to a point where it hinders your will to push on with it.
As the game starts out you're in an apartment building alone. Some sort of plague wiped out most of the population and they've turned into or been replaced by this walking zombiesque monsters that kind of look like a skeletons with some meat up them (see the above picture from my last post). The main character has started to go crazy and he's determined that's its time for him to get out of the building and see if there are any other survivors. So in order to escape he has to try to avoid the zombie things, and wrestle with his own sanity at the same time as well. There are times you'll start having conversations with people, that just don't make sense. You'll leave for a second a return and realize they were the zombie monsters. Lots of other weird stuff goes on too.
*****SPOILERS********* kinda
I'm only hyphothesizing right now, as I'm only 90 minutes in or so (the game only takes 3 to 8 hours FYI) so I may not really know what's going on, but I have a theory thanks to some not entire subtle hints. The main character is aware that he's going crazy, but the problem is he's a hell of a lot crazier than he realizes. I think he's imagined the plague completely. The zombies that he see's are actual regular human beings, and when he goes to kill them he's actually killing regular people. For instance, an early scene when he finds a room full of people at a party coincides when he finds a gun. As soon as he gets the gun, he sees the people he was talking to with the nonsensical conversation are now zombies and now kills them. So it just seems you're actually playing as a guy who is on his way to becoming an insane mass murder.
I think it is worth picking up. It has been available on Steam and ps3 and 360 for quite some time so I don't think it would be too expensive. Even on the Wii U where it just got released last week it is only $12. And who knows? I could still be completely wrong about what is really going on. There is still quite a bit of the story to play out still.
Between Telma and Cia and Bayonetta, I seem to be getting the booby bug again...
BOOBIES!
Welcome to the club.
About to finish:
How? It took me like 50 hours to pretty much 100% (fuck the fishing).

Have I never mentioned that I suck at Zelda games before?

Its one of many games I've always wanted to play again. Still think they fucked up not making it a GameCube game.

Great game though.
I've been playing Lone Survivor.

That's pretty clever. Also the kind of thing that's only possible in games. Maybe I should play it after all
Thanks for the summary/theory.
