I couldn't agree more, it was absolutely stunning.

Ok sank a good hour into it, it is totally bayonetta, just on steroids. Surprisingly the pad works extremely well. This is not a game where you are hitting and holding multiple triggers while hitting face buttons which is where the pad fails, so you can focus almost exclusively on the face buttons and have your finger well rested on the ZR button to evade.

The new mechanic is the Umbra super which charges as you combo, you can save the charge to unleash the super which causes every attack to be a huge power one for a short time. Or you can use your magic torture enemies which is an instant kill. I think the super is far better to save.

There are two weapon types, the classic guns and a sword and whip. The sword and whip is a blast to use, you grab an enemy from across the level with the whip and slam them around.

I also tried the touch screen mode, it works but seems boring to me. Basically you tap on the circle that appears on the screen and hold it there while bayonetta picks combos. You are responsible for dodging which is done by sliding the stylus. Some enemies are moving alot so tapping all over the screen becomes necessary.I dont get why anyone would want to play that way as there is no point to the game outside of action. Off screen works great both ways.

The action seems super over the top and 100% platinum insanity. Exactly what I want. In the next two weeks we get a Mikami RE4 like game and a sequel to the answer to DMC from Kamiya. It is Capcom’s golden age returned without Capcom.

Nintendo cannot dicktate to me how much fap-playing I can do, goddammit! I just won't turn off my Wii U until the full game is released! There's nothing else worth playing on U anyway.

To be fair, no one cared about the sub-720P resolutions rampant last gen unless they were on Wii. And 30FPS is a huge upgrade on last gen. :X

Anybody playing Alien Isolation?

I just started it tonight. I honestly love it so far. Its a horror game through and through...slow paced, atmospheric, and spooky. I guess it could be described as a mix of Zombi U, Dead Space, and the Silent Hills demo. We'll see how the rest is but so far its great.
