PS4 owner since launch. No games yet. Plenty of AAA content, no compelling need to buy.

I am currently enjoying a Need for Speed game on the PS3, I am no automatic spurner of "big games," but in the action adventure/ FPS category of AAA I have no interest, just as I have no interest in the next Marvel movie. I want experiences that entertain at least and inform/ transform my understanding of gaming at most.

I don't see how he is saying less games for this gen....he is saying less for Nintendo. And less cross gen games going forward.

So far its no different than any transition. PS2 launched in late 2000, and didn't have shit until late 2001 when it suddenly got an onslaught of killer games.

This gen I think developers were caught in a weird place too, because last gen lasted WAY TOO LONG. They forgot how to transition.

No Guillemot is talking about next gen PS4/XB1 generation clearly.

My god FFXIV looks fantastic on PS4! 1080p and it's "butta smooth" as Leo said. It makes the PS3 version look like a jaggie, slow-running dog turd in comparison.

Mario Kart 8 Claims Top Spot in Japanese Charts, Wii U Remains as Number One Home Console

The PlayStation Vita has crept ahead of Wii U in Japan as the momentum gained from the release of Mario Kart 8 has started to wear off.

The latest Famitsu data shows that Nintendo’s machine sold 10,366 units in the week ending June 15^th. That’s down from 12,576 units last week and 19,031 units the week before, when Mario Kart 8 hit the market (shown in red below).

Sales are now below the 13,037 unit peak seen in the week ending April 2^nd – that’s the week all hardware saw a jump in sales ahead of a Japanese VAT increase.

Mario Kart 8 remains the best-selling game of the week, but that isn’t enough to stop Vita creeping ahead of Wii U again. Nintendo will be anxious that the decline doesn’t continue, and keen to avoid a slip to mid-April levels.

Here’s a look at the machine’s Japanese sales throughout April and May:
